Children in Worship

Your children are welcome here! Find a seat that works well for your family. To help children learn and grow in their faith, we offer several activities and amenities: Activity Bags are located near the Sanctuary entrance. Creation Station is located on the west side of the Sanctuary and is a part of the Children’s Moment each week. Children are encouraged to color a picture and give it as their offering. Nursery is located by the bathrooms at the top of the Newton Street stairs. We offer a staffed nursery at both Sunday services for children five years old and younger. A Changing Table & Child-sized Restroom is located in the Nursery and is available at all times.

Join us at 9:10 a.m. in the Gathering Room for our adult education class, CrossTalk! March 3: Joan Benson presents “Churches, Chapels and Medieval Cathedrals of Germany & Austria.” March 10: Larry Brown presents “Toys That Teach.” March 17: Kyle Tomesh presents “The Career of a Professional Aircraft Pilot.” March 24: (Rescheduled from February 24) Jim Adams, an aerospace engineer who was on the re-entry team for the 1968 lunar landing, presents “How We Got to the Moon and Back.” March 31: Officer Andy “Bridges Gap Between Kids and Law Enforcement.”

Pick Up Your Dishes Please check the cart in the Narthex to see if any of the dishes are yours. Any unclaimed dishes will be donated.

We Welcome Our Special Guests from Malawi! Thank you to Bishop Bvumbwe and his wife, Maria, for being with us at Bethany this weekend! We hope you enjoy your time with us! Bishop Bvumbwe is the head of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Malawi (ELCM).

Malawi Ministry Gift Offering:

In March, any offering given for Malawi Ministry will be matched by the Trust Fund, up to a total of $7,000! That means, if Bethany members give $7,000, the Trust Fund will contribute ANOTHER $7,000. There are envelopes in your bulletin this weekend as well as in the Narthex.

Tapping into Faith

meets Thursday, March 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the White Stag on North Main Street. This month’s topic is “Christ and Culture.” What is the proper attitude of Christians, as it relates to society and culture? What does it mean to be “In the World but Not of the World?”

Special Envelopes The special Lent/Easter envelope packets are available for pick up. They are located next to the generic offering envelopes in the Narthex.

Holden Village Trip: Holden Village is a former copper mining town locat-

ed in a remote area of the Cascade Mountains of Washington that has been transformed to a vibrant place of education, programming and worship. Holden invites people of all ages to come and experience its rhythms, which inspire and equip travelers for a sustainable life of faith outside the Village. A group from Bethany is organizing a visit to Holden June 15-20, 2019. The group organizer is Eric Carlsen who will be in the Bethany library for informal discussion and questions between services on Sunday, March 3 and again on March 10. We need a firm commitment, including a partial down-payment, for our stay by the end of March. For those planning to go, we will meet at the Carlsen’s home the evening of March 22. If you have questions, please contact Eric Carlsen at [email protected].

Noisy Collection

Watch for the Noisy Collection in March!

Save your noisy money as well as the ‘silent’ stuff! Donations will be going to WITC Students In Need.
