Business Analyst Full Time, Ongoing, Sydney CBD Navitas is a diversified global education provider that offers an extensive range of educational services for students and professionals including university programs, English language training and settlement services, creative media education, workforce education and student recruitment.

About the role The Business Analyst [BA] role is a newly created position to drive the development and ongoing production of business analytics and financial modelling; and to coordinate the business planning process for the Division. The role will be responsible for providing the Division with key operational and non-financial metrics, including student/volume metrics and the delivery of a quarterly balanced scorecard. The BA will take lead responsibility for coordinating the Division’s annual budgets/quarterly forecasts, three year financial plans, working closely with Commercial Finance and Business Unit Managers. The role will also provide general financial modelling support to the division. Essential Criteria •

Degree in Commerce/Finance/Accounting with appropriate professional recognition (i.e. CPA, CA, or equivalent),



At least 5 years previous experience in a business/financial analyst or management accounting roles, preferably in a large corporate environment.



Very strong systems and financial modelling skills and experience.



An excellent understanding of the factors (both external and internal) that drive/influence the performance of organisations.



Ability to work independently and utilise a high level of initiative



High numerical reasoning capability and analytical skills, able to work through highly complex matters

Desirable Criteria • Relevant industry experience, preferably with the tertiary sector or with entities providing services to international students •

Previous experience with reporting development, particularly balanced scorecard reporting

Overview and Objectives of the Position:

Key Result Areas:

This role is primarily responsible for the: •

Development and ongoing preparation of a divisional balanced scorecard, to provide the Division with a broad set of relevant quarterly performance metrics.



Development and ongoing monitoring of systems and reporting for student/volume metrics.



Develop, maintain and provide reporting templates and tools to support monthly and quarterly reporting; and business planning.



Coordinate the preparation and consolidation of the annual budget/quarterly forecasts and medium/long term financial plans across the Division.



Support the GM Marketing & Recruitment through the provision of marketing analytics.



Development of financial models to support Divisional decisions and recommendations.



The role will also provide other analytical/project assistance to the GM Finance as required on an ad-hoc basis.

Qualifications and Selection Criteria

Essential: •
