ABOUT THE ROLE Develop key relationships with employers to support the placement of professional year students. Communicate with employers requirements around internships within areas within Engineering, Information technology, Marketing and Accountancy. The ideal candidate we seek will ideally have the following:        

Relevant business degree or tertiary qualifications Previous experience within HR, Recruitment, Marketing or Business Development Demonstrated ability to meet placement targets Exceptional customer and client management skills Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills Strong time management skills, organisational skills and attention to detail Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team Initiative, drive and a strong sense of urgency

Overview and Objectives of the Position:

Develop key relationships with employers to support the placement of professional year students. Communicate with employers requirements around internships within areas within Engineering, Information technology, Marketing and Accountancy.

Key Relationships:

The Business Developers reports to the State Operations Manager, working closely with other members of the I&E NSW team. Additional key relationships include, but are not limited to: i.

IPC Team Leader

Business Development Manager

Key Result Areas:

The Employee must perform the duties and responsibilities of the Position, which include but are not limited to: Operations • Support the I&E strategic plan and state by making out-bounding calls to identify opportunities of potential new host companies and document operational best practice within the I&E Internship delivery model • Conduct a comprehensive review of host company requirements, objectives and requirements that fall within the required matrix of the Professional Year program • Collate a suite of email communication templates to Host Companies • System administration and auditing to ensure all relevant documentation uploaded on placement software Business Development • Drive business development for establishing a host company network for newly identified industries, for example, Engineering, Accountancy, Information technology and Marketing • Drive national host company strategies, focused on developing state host company relationships • Develop relationships with Host Companies to facilitate student placements for internships and work placements within NSW • Expand existing Host Company network within NSW through enhancing existing relationships • Work closely with IPC team leader to seek business opportunities within Engineering

Work closely with the SOM’s to align NSW to placement targets Maintenance of the Host Company database that will provide clear visibility of key information and ensure it is kept up to date and being utilised Continuous research of industry and employer trends

Reporting • Generation of a series of host company reports for new host companies • Detailed analysis of new business engagement within the engineering sector • Contribute lead generation to the placement teams with a comprehensive detailed handover
