BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER GLASGOW, EDINBURGH OR CAMPBELTOWN SALARY DEPENDING ON SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

From our world class manufacturing facility site at Machrihanish, on the west coast of Scotland, we provide “ready to install” tower solutions for the onshore and offshore wind energy market. We employ around 130 people from Campbeltown and the Kintyre area all of whom are dedicated to providing a high quality service to our valued clients. Due to continued and anticipated growth, we are currently recruiting an experienced Business Development Manager. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the effective design, implementation and delivery of our business sales strategy. Working closely with our Finance, Procurement and Legal teams, you will identify sales opportunities and engage with clients across the UK and Ireland to ensure a pipeline of commercially viable projects. You’ll manage the existing and new client relationship and sales pipeline; from initial enquiry through contract negotiation to order completion. Developing a key account strategy for a diverse client portfolio including community based wind developers to global organisation will be a fundamental part of the role. Building relationships and networks with members of the wind industry by attending events and seminars and promoting WTS using a wide range of business development platforms including networking events, exhibitions, online media and direct communication will be essential. You will have the following skills and experience:    

Possess excellent presentation and communication skills, both oral and written Have a proven track record of successful Business Development in the renewables industry Ability to identify and implement effective business opportunities Have excellent negotiation skills combined with first class problem solving and analytical skills to ensure WTS meet our customers’ expectations
