April 25, 2019. A native of Lincoln County, Mr. Mitchell was the son of the late Esker Leamon and Ada Freeman Mitchell and the husband of Theresa F. Mitchell, who survives. He was a heavy equipment operator working for CFW Construction Co and other construction companies throughout his career. Mr. Mitchell was an accomplished musician playing bluegrass and country music on the guitar, banjo, and mandolin. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and had a great love for his family. Mr. Mitchell was a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his parents; son, David Leamon Mitchell; daughters, Peggy Sue Mitchell and Daniella Oman; brothers, LC Mitchell and Jerry Lane Mitchell; and sister, Mary Mitchell.
