Ministry Area: First Impressions Role: Part-Time, Hourly (10 hours/week) Position Title: Northeast Café Manager Accountable To: First Impressions Director Ministry Purpose First Impressions purpose is to create an atmosphere at Northeast that is welcoming and hospitable. We want everyone to have a positive experience that draws them closer to Christ. Role Responsibilities: Be the point-person for the volunteer team who serve weekend shifts. Delegate tasks to volunteers as needed. Provide encouragement and support to volunteer team while they are serving. Serve as a liaison to customers when/if any issues or questions arise. Responsibilities of the role will include: 1. Inventory, ordering, purchasing necessary supplies for the weekend 2. Weekly emails, schedule up-keep, and will continue to handle volunteer recruitment with First Impressions Director 3. Schedule training monthly for new volunteers 4. Stock café before the weekends and between services 5. Arrive ahead of time on the weekend to prepare coffee and other needs for the Café to open Required Skills: 1. Positive attitude and ability to be respectful and courteous with customers 2. Independent worker, who can collaborate with volunteer teams 3. Ability to delegate to volunteer teams 4. Highly organized and detailed oriented. Ability to prioritize and schedule necessary projects 5. Reliable and flexible with weekend schedule 6. Work within Planning Center database system Specific Requirements: 1. Maintain a wholesome and healthy family life, while actively engaged in Northeast ministries 2. Commit to the vision of Northeast Christian Church 3. Demonstrate a genuine love for people as the highest priority of ministry through communication, cooperation and personal relationships 4. Exhibit a work ethic of initiative, follow-through, organization and positive attitude
