* Call to Worship: Psalm 91:1-2 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” * Opening Prayer * Sing Praise to God Who Reigns Above Sing praise to God who reigns above, The God of all creation, The God of power, the God of love, The God of our salvation. My soul with comfort rich he fills, And every grief he gently stills: To God all praise and glory!

#465:1,4 (PH)

Let all who name Christ’s holy name Give God the praise and glory. Let all who know his power proclaim Aloud the wondrous story. Cast every idol from its throne; The Lord is God, and he alone; To God all praise and glory! * We Praise Thee, O God, Our Redeemer #334:1,2,3 (HFG) We praise Thee, O God, our Redeemer, Creator In grateful devotion our tribute we bring; We lay it before Thee, we kneel and adore Thee, We bless Thy holy name, glad praises we sing. We worship Thee, God of our fathers, we bless Thee Thru life's storm and tempest, our guide hast Thou been; When perils o'er take us, Thou wilt not forsake us, And with Thy help, O Lord, life’s battles we win. With voices united our praises we offer And gladly our song of true worship we raise. Thy strong arm will guide us, our God is beside us, To Thee, our great Redeemer, forever be praise! * indicates to stand if able

* Savior Like a Shepherd Lead Us

#601:1,2 (HFG)

Savior like a Shepherd lead us, Much we need Thy tender care; In Thy pleasant pastures feed us; For our use Thy folds prepare. Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus, Thou hast bought us, Thine we are; Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus, Thou hast bought us, Thine we are. We are Thine; do Thou befriend us; Be the guardian of our way; Keep Thy flock; from sin defend us; Seek us when we go astray. Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus, Hear Thy children when they pray; Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus, Hear Thy children when they pray.

Profession of Faith: Heidelberg Catechism Q&A 20-22 Are all saved through Christ just as all were lost through Adam? No. Only those are saved who by true faith are grafted into Christ and accept all his blessings. What is true faith? True faith is not only a knowledge and conviction that everything God reveals in his Word is true; it is also a deep-rooted assurance, created in me by the Holy Spirit through the gospel, that, out of sheer grace earned for us by Christ, not only others, but I too, have had my sins forgiven, have been made forever right with God, and have been granted salvation. What then must a Christian believe? Everything God promises us in the gospel. That gospel is summarized for us in the articles of our Christian faith— a creed beyond doubt, and confessed throughout the world.

Offering: Tuition Assistance Fund Evening Prayer * Take Time to be Holy #457:1,3 (HFG) Take time to be holy, speak often with God; Find rest in Him always, and feed on His Word. Make friends of God’s children, Help those who are weak; Forgetting in nothing His blessing to seek. Take time to be holy, let Him be Thy Guide; And run not before Him, whatever betide. In joy or in sorrow, still follow Thy Lord, And, looking to Jesus, still trust in His word. * Scripture: Daniel 3:8-18 (ESV) pg. 925 8 Therefore at that time certain Chaldeans came forward and maliciously accused the Jews. 9 They declared to King Nebuchadnezzar, “O king, live forever! 10 You, O king, have made a decree, that every man who hears the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, shall fall down and worship the golden image. 11 And whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast into a burning fiery furnace. 12 There are certain Jews whom you have appointed over the affairs of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These men, O king, pay no attention to you; they do not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.” 13 Then Nebuchadnezzar in furious rage commanded that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego be brought. So they brought these men before the king. 14 Nebuchadnezzar answered and said to them, “Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the golden image that I have set up? 15 Now if you are ready when you hear the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, to fall down and worship the image that I have made, well and good. But if you do not worship, you shall immediately be cast into a

burning fiery furnace. And who is the god who will deliver you out of my hands?” 16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. 17 If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king.] 18 But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.” This is the Word of the Lord. Thanks be to God.
