Definition of Trinity One God who eternally exists as three distinct and equal persons—Father, Son, and Spirit—who are each fully and equally God in power and of the same essence. the Father is God 1
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1 ESV
26 Look
at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field… Matthew 6:26, 30 ESV 6 yet
for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist. I Corinthians 8:6 ESV 17 For
when he received honor and glory from God the Father, and the voice was borne to him by the Majestic Glory, “This is my beloved Son,[a] with whom I am well pleased,” II Peter 1:17 ESV
the Son is God 11 But
Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?” 12 He said, “But I will be with you, and this shall be the sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.” 13 Then
Moses said to God, “If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ what shall I say to them?” 14 God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.”[a] And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” Exodus 3:11-14 ESV 8 “I
am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” Revelation 1:8 ESV 13 I
am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end”. Revelation 22:13 ESV
Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: “I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god. Isaiah 44:6 ESV 6
17 When
I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last, 18 and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades. Revelation 1:17-18 ESV 56 Your
father Abraham rejoiced that he would see my day. He saw it and was glad.” 57 So the Jews said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?”[a] 58 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.” John 8:56-58 ESV

11 I
am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, 30 I and the Father are one.” John 10:11, 14, 30 ESV 9 For
in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, Colossians 2:9 ESV
The Holy Spirit is God 17 Now
the Lord[a] is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord,[b] are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. II Corinthians 3:17-18 ESV 3 But
Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back for yourself part of the proceeds of the land? 4 While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal? Why is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to man but to God.” Acts 5:3-4 ESV 20 knowing
this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. II Peter 1:20, 21 ESV
100% God and 100% human 5 Have
this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,[a] 6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant,[b] being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:5-11 ESV
Why study this? If are wrong about who God is, it impacts all of eternity. If you miss who Jesus is, it's not just a matter of renaming Him, you miss the forgiveness of your sins. Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers. I Timothy 4:16 What does it mean if my friend does not believe in the Trinity or that Jesus is God?
The Question you need to ask your friend: Who is Jesus and what did he do?
