Calvary United Methodist Church Scholarship Guidelines

Calvary United Methodist Church offers scholarships to students pursuing higher education. Full time student applicants must demonstrate a need for some financial assistance and desire some Christian service during and after graduation. Only students who are actively involved in church activities with a cumulative grade point average of 2.7 will be considered. All applications must have a transcript of grades attached to the application. Scholarships of $500 per student will be awarded to those approved by committee members.

Application forms and transcripts must be submitted by May 25 to: Calvary United Methodist Church 131 W. 2nd Street Frederick, MD 21701 Attn: Scholarship Committee Notification of awards will be made by the end of June. All scholarship recipients are encouraged to attend church service at 11:00 a.m. on the second Sunday of August to be recognized. The scholarship committee will meet the students 15 minutes before the service in the Chapel.
