CAN TOO FOUNDATION PROGRAM AND MARKETING SUPPORT/ADMIN ASSISTANTJOB DESCRIPTION About Can Too The Can Too Foundation‘s Principal activity is to promote the prevention and control of cancer and other diseases in human beings, in particular: a) Improved physical and mental health outcomes for men and women through the benefits of exercise and diet; and b) The prevention of cancer and the quest for cures through innovative research. c) To raise awareness of these issues, and raise funds to support medical research into these areas, the Foundation provides expert professional coaching programmes for participants wishing to complete sporting events such as runs, swims and triathlon. Our strategy is to assist participants to improve their health and fitness: a) By supplying them with information about the prevention and control of cancer and other diseases, as well as the critical importance of medical research; and b) By training them for running, swimming and triathlon events c) Participants engage their personal networks and communities to raise awareness of these issues and are required to raise funds through contributions and sponsorships. Participant fundraising, together with additional funds raised from corporate sponsors and other donors, are directed by Can Too towards awareness programs addressing health, fitness and cancer and other disease prevention; and alliances with some of Australia's leading cancer and medical organisations, particularly those engaged in ground-breaking, innovative research aimed at improving or prolonging the lives of cancer patients. In addition, Can Too provides public information about cancer and raises awareness for cancer research and treatment.

Position Title:

Program and Marketing Support / Admin Assistant

Responsible for:

Providing administrative assistance, program and marketing support to different team members.

Full Time

Reports to:

Communications Manager

Main Activities General Administrative:        

Streamlining general office systems and procedures Preparation of proposals and presentations for CEO and Chair Collection, opening, distribution and dispatch of daily mail Coordinating and maintaining office stationery and equipment and supplies Answering the phone and nurturing donors/contacts Booking Travel for Chair, CEO and other staff as needed Taking and distributing meeting minutes Manage catering for meetings as required

Programs:  Assist the Program Coordinator (Sydney) with bag packs and other preprogram duties.  Assist Program Manager in the administration and facilitation of goal events (3-4 key weekend days per annum)  Collation and distribution of program resources as required to Program Managers and Sydney Team Captains and other stakeholders as required  Assisting with stock counts and control  Printing, collation and distribution of Coach, Team Captain and Mentor manuals and Fundraising Guidelines  Update Guest speaker information and master spreadsheets  Maintain master contact lists and unsubscribes as necessary  Ad hoc Admin tasks (helping collate contact lists, printing certificates, mail outs etc.)

Marketing and PR: 

Management of all media kits, brochures and other marketing collateral including stock control and distribution in line with marketing calendar

   

Management of media coverage: print and digital media files and collating and reporting with both soft and hard copies Implement Social Media Plan with support from Communications Manager Prepare all Centurion Reports as required Keep contacts list up to date – for CEO, Chair, and other staff

Key Skills  

2 years relevant practical experience across a broad spectrum of administrative duties MS Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Requirements         

Passion for fitness and health and desire to do a Can Too program Strong desire to work in the Not for Profit sector and engage in community events Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to liaise at all levels both internally and externally Desire to work with social media and obtain experience in entry level PR and Marketing Ability to support Can Too Foundation Team and be a team player Ability to prioritise individual work load High customer service ethic High level attention to detail Flexibility to support on event days and from time to time at evening training evenings as required.
