Adult Day Services

April showers us with promises, promises, but fools rush in on the 1st. Jokers are wild! We welcome Spring on the 6th with sun hats and hyacinths blooming in the garden. Adult Day celebrates literacy with our own Literary Day, during National Library Week, (love that alliteration!). Join us on the 13th for wondrous word games, book cover crafting, reading, writing, illustrating and a special “Wheel of Fortune” game. Dress as your favorite book or character! Finally, Earth Day spins around on the 22nd filled with mud pies and natural resources management. Yay planet Asheville!

National Volunteer Week - April 10 - 16, 2016 The volunteers and community guests who come to our adult day are too numerous to count. We are grateful beyond words. Children walk through our doors with smiling faces, musicians share their talents, poets and storytellers intrigue us with language and drama. Our gardens are cleaned and mulched, fences repaired and painted. Many, many thanks to you (if you’re reading this you know who you are!). “The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit.” ~Nelson Henderson
