Adult Day Services

Welcome to 2016! Old friends and new, a renewal of goals and dreams. We’ve turned the corner and the days are getting just a little longer. Our weekly themes include: “Ringing in the new” and a Martin Luther King focus on community service. The main event this month will be “Elvis at the Waldorf,” an “imagination vacation” to 1940s and 50s NYC high society, with a twist, (no pun intended). Bite into our slice of the “Big Apple” pie, with a side of pimento cheese for“The King.” So dress up on Wed., Jan. 20, propose a toast and keep dancing!

Participant SPOTLIGHT Nancy Woods, Bill’s wife, said “Bill is a loving father, he loves people and likes to keep busy. He likes to joke, too.” Bill has a son and two daughters from a previous marriage and Nancy has two children from her previous marriage (a third child is deceased). Bill hails from Clearfield, PA where his father worked in the coal mines. Bill is one of ten children...wow! He graduated from Lasalle High School, near the beautiful Niagara Falls area of NY. A man with a strong work ethic, he painted houses, repaired Bill Woods and installed televisions, worked for several chemical plants and drove a truck for Overnite Transportation. A job with Goodyear Manufacturing brought him to NC...a smart move! Bill, we’re glad you’re here!

We loved seeing you at our Gift Fair!

Thank you for purchasing our handmade crafts. Thank you for donating your own handmade crafts. We had a good time working on this project, many people were involved. All proceeds from the gift fair will be used to purchase participant activity related items.
