COMMON QUESTIONS HOW DO GROWTH GROUPS WORK?

Relationships matter so we take time each week to do life together. We hang out with people who are similar to us and want to grow spiritually. This is where we get connected with others heading in the same direction. HOW LONG DO GROWTH GROUPS LAST?

Most of our groups last eight weeks with the occasional group wrapping up in as little as six and a few that elect to continue a little longer. Our groups meet weekly for about 90 minutes unless otherwise noted. W H AT ’ S T H E E A S I E S T W AY T O J O I N A G R O W T H G R O U P ?

Go online to thrivechurch.cc and register for the group of your choice. Once you’ve signed up, the facilitator for your group will send you a confirmation within 48 hours. — IT’S THAT EASY! IS THERE CHILDCARE IN GROWTH GROUPS?

Many groups have figured out a system for childcare and it will be noted in the listing if childcare is available, or if children are welcome.

We have a few groups that are open all season, but if you want a specific group, sign up early to lock in your preferred choice. IS THERE A COST?

It is free to join a Growth Group. There may be a nominal cost for materials depending on the group you join. Most listings will provide specifics on any costs you can expect. W H AT I F I M I S S A W E E K ?

We know that everyone has to miss a week from time to time for various reasons. But, if you want to get the most out of your group, it helps to make it a priority. Just know there is no “group truancy officers” that will show up at your door and ask you awkward questions about why you missed group. If you’re out for an extended time, we encourage you to contact your facilitator and to keep up with your groups progress.

SUN 03: ONE YOUTH GROWTH GROUPS Every Sunday night at One Youth, Jr. and Sr. High Students break into four teams where they build friendships, compete, worship, learn and dig into relevant topics from a Biblical perspective. We wrap up with prayer, next right step, chill time and food! Bring a friend! We hope to see you there! TUES 01: STRONG WOMEN!

You’re married! NOW WHAT? This Growth Group will use a unique blend of humor and “tell it like it is” honesty to help couples learn how they communicate and grow in love, in their marriage. This DVD series by Mark Gungor will have you laughing out loud.

It’s not easy being a woman in today’s world. The demands and expectations that you face can be overwhelming. This group will explore 12 women of the Bible who encountered God and their lives were forever changed. These women will encourage you through their failures and success, how they overcome rejection and insecurity and how they were able to draw near to God in a world filled with trials.

Many of us are physically overweight yet spiritually underfed. The reality is that we were made to crave, which isn’t a bad thing. But we must learn that God created us to crave more of Him. Find that missing link between a desire to be healthier and the spiritual empowerment to make it happen. In this Women’s Group, we will learn to satisfy your cravings with God!

This Women’s Group invites you to go on a journey to learn that there is a big difference between saying yes to everyone and saying yes to God. Do you suffer from the desire to please? Learn the secret of the small “no” to balance the endless demands and discover the best yes.

Each week we will explore a unique local art store to learn a new skill and have fun creating together. Projects will include painting pottery, jewelry making, needle felting, vinyl application, and cookie decorating. Your registration covers all supplies and class fees, simply come and create with us! We are a bunch of dudes helping coach each other to be better husbands and fathers. During the Growth Group season, you become a Mystery Encourager. You will secretly pray for the woman you have drawn, write her prayers/encouragement and occasionally buy her a small gift. S AT 0 4 : D I S C G O L F Disc golf is an outside recreational sport very similar to regular golf. The object to is throw the disc from the tee box and into a target basket in the fewest amount of strokes possible. It is a great way to be active outside while engaging in meaningful conversations. Our goal is to grow closer together in community through disc golf, all while enjoying the great outdoors. This is a great activity for singles, couples and families. Join us as we learn the sport and build friendships!
