Celebrate the season with Thanksgiving meals at the Brown Hotel The English Grill and J. Graham’s Café prepare holiday feasts Nov. 26 LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 12, 2015) - - - Gather with family and friends for a Thanksgiving meal at The Brown Hotel Thursday, Nov. 26. Holiday menus with traditional entrées and sides will be offered at both restaurants in the historic hotel, with formal service in The English Grill and a casual buffet in J. Graham’s Café. Reservations are required. For a traditional Thanksgiving feast, take a seat in The English Grill. Start with the spiced parsnip soup and a Waldorf salad, or sample from the seafood bar and charcuterie display. Pair entrée choices of beef tenderloin with Bordelaise sauce, seared diver scallops with country ham, and roasted turkey with giblet gravy with family-style accoutrements like bourbon-glazed carrots, Brioche and Stilton stuffing and Yukon Gold pomme purée. For dessert, enjoy a slice of buttermilk bourbon cream pie, flourless chocolate cake or sorghum pecan pie. The cost is $64 per person, plus tax and gratuity; $20 for children ages 4 to 12 for a la carte and buffet. Children under 4 are complimentary. Graham’s Café will find autumn Minestrone soup and a variety of seasonal salads to begin the meal before filling plates with bourbon-smoked salmon, pickled vegetables, assorted cheese, citrus-herb roasted turkey and maple-pineapple glazed Kentucky ham from the carving station. For the main course, try seared Atlantic salmon, green bean casserole, and fig and apple stuffing. Pumpkin pie with Chantilly cream is the perfect treat to top off the meal. The cost is $40 per person; $17 for children ages 4 to 12, plus tax and gratuity. Children under 4 are complimentary.
