CELEBRATION OF WORSHIP Pastor Mike Holleman

Gathering Song* Prayer

Jesus Paid It All (#305 red hymnal)

Welcome/Announcements

Call to Worship Heidelberg Catechism Lord’s Day 44 L: What is the aim of the tenth commandment? P: That not even the slightest desire or thought contrary to any one of God's commandments should ever arise in our hearts. Rather, with all our hearts we should always hate sin and take pleasure in whatever is right. L: But can those converted to God obey these commandments perfectly? P: No. In this life even the holiest have only a small beginning of this obedience. L: Since no one in this life can obey the Ten Commandments perfectly, why does God want them preached so pointedly? P: So that the longer we live the more we may come to know our sinfulness and the more eagerly look to Christ for forgiveness of sins and righteousness. Also, so that we may never stop striving, and never stop praying to God for the grace of the Holy Spirit, to be renewed more and more after God's image, until after this life we reach our goal: perfection. The Little Free Library, “Take a book, leave a book” campaign is all around us! You’ve probably noticed them in neighborhoods and public spaces; they exist across the nation and around the world. And now, Otley has its own Little Free Library that is offically chartered by the Little Free Library Association. The Little Free Library is located at the corner of Johnston and Jefferson Street. Letters were sent to the Otley community to invite them to stop by and check out the selection of reading materials found there, and to encourage folks to share some of their previously read books and magazines as well. Any questions or comments, please contact Mary Lynne.
