AFTERNOON OPTIONS

OUTREACH We have the opportunity to significantly impact the people of Kansas City. Groups can sign up for opportunities to minister through service and prayer. Prayer outreach is intercessory and evangelism based outreach utilizing prayer stations and prayer walking. Training is provided. Service projects mobilize groups to serve with their hands, muscles, and servant hearts. Projects include restoring parks and playgrounds, working with homeless shelters, partnering with other city organizations, and coming alongside of local churches as an extension into their communities.

EQUIPPING LABS Take advantage of a great selection of labs addressing a wide variety of topics. No registration needed – just show up to the lab of your choice! Lab topics and details will be revealed in January 2018.

REC SPORTS During scheduled Rec times (afternoons and evenings), we will have open play in a variety of activities. This is an opportunity for students to move between and come and go as they please. On Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons, we will have organized tournaments. Pre-registration is required and will take place when you arrive at Challenge.

APEX EXPERIENCE God is boldly moving throughout the whole earth to bring people of every tribe, language and nation to Himself (Revelation 7:9). This 60-minute, hands-on experience will engage students with what God is doing around the world—and specifically in the Middle East among refugees. Apex Experience is available Noon – 6:00 p.m. daily

PARENTS

PARTNERSHIP Dear concerned parent/guardian, We love partnering with you in your teen’s spiritual life. I am excited to share with you that as a student ministry we plan to attend Challenge 2018 this coming summer. Challenge 2018 is the Evangelical Free Church of America’s national youth gathering. Why Challenge 2018 ? There are several reasons why our youth ministry chose Challenge as our summer event: 1. Challenge is gospel-centered. We at ELEVEN:18 earnestly desire that all our events begin and end with solid gospel - centered teaching. 2. Challenge equips students to stand confidently in their faith. 3. Challenge provides post-event tools for each student to help them continue to pursue Jesus after the conference. 4. Challenge allows students to honestly evaluate their current walk in their faith and helps them take next steps. 5. Challenge offers space for our youth ministry team to connect with students on a deeper level — helping us, as youth leaders, to continue to minister to each teenager. We love partnering in walking through life with your student. Challenge 2018’s theme is Bold Moves. Students are invited to explore the attitudes and practices of Jesus as revealed in the gospels. Jesus’ bold moves launched what is arguably the greatest movement of all time. Challenge 2018 will help each individual student, as well as our entire youth group to assess, evaluate and name what bold move we will take with Christ in this season of our lives. Our group will be traveling to Kansas City by van. We’ll leave VERY early on Monday, July 2 and then return mid-day on July 7. We’ll stay in hotels near the convention center where Challenge 2018 is held. Additionally, students will have opportunities to serve in the city alongside trusted ministry partners. Our leadership team hopes you will seriously consider supporting your child in attending Challenge 2018. It is an opportunity I don’t want anyone to miss. If you have any questions about this event, please email me at [email protected]. In Him,

Pastor of Youth Ministries Fellowship Community Church Who: Students entering 7th - 12th grade Dates (includes travel): Monday, July 2 – Saturday, July 7 Cost (includes transportation, hotel, registration and 14 meals): $725
