They want God’s help in raising their child They are committing themselves to raise their child to love and honour God They want their spiritual family, the church to support them in this great responsibility They want their child to trust Christ as Saviour and follow Him as Lord

This act of dedication does not provide eternal salvation to the child, they will need to make their own personal decision to follow Christ as they reach an age of understanding and accountability.
