Church Mission: Cottonwood Creek Church is on mission to love God and others for Jesus Christ. Over 2,000 people attend Cottonwood Creek worship services each weekend. Job Summary: Cottonwood Creek Church is looking for servant-hearted Christ followers who love kids and have a desire or call to work and serve in Children’s Ministry. This is an opportunity to serve and grow as a member of a large children’s ministry team, supporting and leading children’s programs that impact over 600 children each week. Opportunities to Learn and Apply Skills: • Teaching and encouraging small groups of children in Bible activities • Communicating to large groups of children during Sunday programming • Organizing and directing special events for children (Fall Festival, VBS, Camps, etc.) • Managing deadlines and solving problems to meet the needs of children’s ministry programs • Encouraging children, volunteers and parents through written and verbal communication • Recruiting, scheduling and supporting volunteers to serve children • Assembling and creating teaching support materials, activities and crafts for children to grasp Bible precepts • Preparing and operating audio and graphic support equipment and software (ProPresenter, Photoshop, etc) • Creating, editing and operating various digital media for children’s programming • Organizing camp events and leading children at overnight camps • Working as part of a ministry team to reach and encourage children to know and follow Jesus Christ • Supporting and coordinating with the full range of Cottonwood ministry teams to fulfill the church’s mission Job Requirements and Personal Qualifications: Time Commitment: This position is flexible for the right candidates, between 8 to 35 hours each week, with a combination of Sunday core hours (8:30a-1:00p) and weekday hours. Special events require added attendance. Salary: Up to $1,250 per month, based on assigned hours. Personal Qualifications: Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ with consistent evidence of fruit in their personal life; Motivated to serve God in a ministry; Ability to consistently use good judgment.
