Deacons’ Backpack and Bus Pass Drive for Presbyterian Urban Ministries happens during July. The Deacons accept donations for bus passes for clients who need transportation to various appointments. Backpacks and school supplies are distributed to needy students for the new school year. Bring to the SERVE table on the Plaza, or to the Church Office.
Beach Day TODAY July 8, 12-3 pm Meet at 12:15 in front of the Wave House at Belmont Park in Mission Beach. SERVE Day July 15 Ladle Fellowship Meet at 1:15 at First Presbyterian Church downtown (3rd Ave. and Date Street) to feed the homeless. Preschool Summer Camp July 9-August 3 from 9 am to 1 pm Four weeks of summer camp for children ages 3 to 6 years. Each week has a different theme and biblical message. Welcome . . . Welcome to the Red Brick Church! If you are visiting with us today, I would like to extend you a warm welcome. May you sense God's presence in our time together and may your soul be refreshed and renewed. Earlier this spring, we unpacked the words of the Jewish Shema and learned how to love God more with our everything. This summer we are continuing with Jesus' addition to the greatest commandment by unpacking what Jesus meant when he said, "Love Your Neighbor." As part of our summer series, we will feature many of our mission partners in creative and celebratory ways. I do hope you will be able to join us! May God inspire us all to continue to be his hands and feet in this world. No matter what you bring with you through the doors today, you are most welcome.
