Christ Church Leadership Position Covenant Women’s Ministry Coordinator Position​: Part-time, Approximately 5 hours per week Reports​ ​to​: Pastor Ryan LaRock Supervision​: Volunteers Job Summary​: ​ The Women’s Ministry Coordinator is a part-time position that leads the ministry activities for women ages 18 and up. The primary focus of the position is to support women who worship at Christ Church: (1) continue their faith walk, and (2) by encourage women to serve others using their God-given gifts both inside the Christ Church family and in the greater community. In additional, this person needs to be able to engage women throughout northern Virginia as we strive to grow our church family. Qualifications​: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to e​ngage with women; be energized by seeing women move closer to God; and be a Christ-centered team player who is proficient in recruiting, attracting, and encouraging women to engage and volunteer. This person must have strong organizational, diplomatic, communication and relational skills. They must be equipped with a working knowledge of event planning, be comfortable in transforming ideas into reality, and have the nurturing skills to empower volunteers in meaningful ways. The following requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required: ● Be passionate about working in a Team environment ● Can gracefully lead volunteers, be open to other’s ideas, be willing to compromise. ● Can manage conflict with compassion. ● Be creative, enthusiastic, approachable, flexible, and a team player. ● Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Publisher, Excel, and PowerPoint). Be able and willing to learn Fellowship One, our current database system. ● Engage with women of all ages encouraging them to worship, connect and serve. Essential Duties and Responsibilities​: ​The person in this position will​ guide women’s leadership team, encourage women to engage in or continue their faith walk; and nurture a heart for service in others. Leadership Competencies​: These are the characteristics that should be used and exhibited to successfully lead in this position. ● Enthusiastic Communicator​—Encourage a variety of women to engage in Women’s Ministries to grow their faith, no matter where they currently are in their walk. ● Integrity and Trust​—Keeps confidences and can present the truth in an appropriate and helpful manner. ● Organizational Agility​—Knows how to get things done by empowering others to make decisions.
