A Christian Guide to End-Of Life Decisions Seminar Date: October 17, 2015 Time: 8:30am to 2:00pm Location: Mount Olive Lutheran Church 3411 South Taft Ave, Loveland, CO 80539 970-669-7250 For: Everyone interested in learning more about end-of-life concerns

The Mount Olive Life Team has arranged for Dr. James Lamb to be the featured presenter for the day. Advances in life sustaining technology, increasing healthcare costs and a culture that offers death as a solution to all our problems all combine to raise many questions about end-of-life concerns. Dr. Lamb’s presentation will focus on the fact that Christians have a unique, Gospel -centered approach to dealing with these and other issues regarding end-of-life decisions. Dr. Lamb is the executive director of Lutherans For Life, having served in that office since 1996. He is nationally and internationally known as a voice for life and is well versed in subjects covering life matters. Prior to his becoming Executive Director of Lutherans for Life, Dr. Lamb served as an emergency medical technician at the USAF Academy Hospital in Colorado Springs. He entered Concordia Seminary in Saint Louis in 1978 and graduated with a Master of Divinity in 1982. He received a Doctor of Ministry from the same institution in 1994. Dr. Lamb served as senior pastor at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Garner, Iowa until accepting the position as Executive Director of Lutherans For Life. Reverend Mark Nierman, pastor of Mount Olive, will also be speaking at the seminar with consideration given to the theological aspects of a Lutheran (and Christian) funeral. Schedule: The day will begin with registration and coffee time at 8:30am and conclude at 2:00pm. Lunch will be provided. There is no registration fee for this seminar. There will be a free will offering. Please register in advance by October 5th to help with planning purposes. Call or email the church office at 970-669-7350 or [email protected].
