Glorious Day I was buried beneath my shame, who could carry that kind of weight? It was my tomb 'til I met You. I was breathing, but not alive, all my failures I tried to hide. It was my tomb 'til I met You.

You called my name and I ran out of that grave, Out of the darkness into Your glorious day. You called my name and I ran out of that grave, Out of the darkness into Your glorious day. Now Your mercy has saved my soul, now Your freedom is all that I know. The old made new, Jesus, when I met You.

I needed rescue, my sin was heavy, But chains break at the weight of Your glory. I needed shelter, I was an orphan, But You call me a citizen of Heaven. When I was broken You were my healing, Your love is the air that I'm breathing. I have a future, my eyes are open. His Mercy is More What love could remember no wrongs we have done, Omniscient, all knowing, He counts not their sum. Thrown into a sea without bottom or shore, Our sins, they are many, His mercy is more.

Praise the Lord, His mercy is more. Stronger than darkness, new every morn. Our sins, they are many, His mercy is more.

And I will put my trust in You alone, and I will not be shaken. King of Kings In the darkness we were waiting, without hope without light, Till from heaven You came running, there was mercy in Your eyes. To fulfil the law and prophets, to a virgin came the Word, From a throne of endless glory to a cradle in the dirt.

Praise the Father, praise the Son, praise the Spirit three in one God of Glory, Majesty, praise forever to the King of kings. To reveal the kingdom coming and to reconcile the lost, To redeem the whole creation, You did not despise the cross. For even in Your suffering You saw to the other side, Knowing this was our salvation, Jesus for our sake You died. And the morning that You rose, all of heaven held its breath, Till that stone was moved for good, for the Lamb had conquered death. And the dead rose from their tombs, and the angels stood in awe, For the souls of all who'd come to the Father are restored, And the Church of Christ was born, then the Spirit lit the flame, Now this Gospel truth of old shall not kneel shall not faint. By His blood and in His Name, in His freedom I am free, For the love of Jesus Christ Who has resurrected me.

Praise forever to the King of kings. Announcements and Offering Prayer I Will Wait For You (Psalm 130) Out of the depths I cry to You, in darkest places I will call. Incline Your ear to me anew and hear my cry for mercy, Lord.

What patience would wait as we constantly roam, What Father so tender is calling us home. He welcomes the weakest, the vilest, the poor, Our sins, they are many, His mercy is more.

Were You to count my sinful ways, how could I come before Your throne. Yet full forgiveness meets my gaze, I stand redeemed by grace alone.

What riches of kindness He lavished on us. His blood was the payment, His life was the cost. We stood 'neath a debt we could never afford, Our sins, they are many, His mercy is more.

So put Your hope in God alone, take courage in His power to save Completely and forever won by Christ emerging from the grave.

Build My Life Worthy of every song we could ever sing, Worthy of all the praise we could ever bring Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe. We live for You, we live for you.

I will wait for You, I will wait for You, on Your word I will rely I will wait for You, surely wait for You till my soul is satisfied.

Now He has come to make a way and God Himself has paid the price That all who trust in Him today find healing in His sacrifice.

I will wait for You I will wait for You through the storm and through the night, I will wait for You, surely wait for You, for Your love is my delight. Dr. Gary Hylander Acts Series A NEW DIRECTION Acts 15:36-16:10

Guidance from God should be a deep desire of all who love the Lord. Life is filled with a series of options to consider and decisions to be made. Each decision propels us a little further away from the known, and into the unknown. The challenge for us is that wrong ideas about God’s guidance will lead us to wrong conclusions about God’s will for our lives.

The Apostle Paul is about to begin his second missionary journey as chronicled in Acts 15:36-18:22. This expedition would cover approximately 2800 miles! What would be needed in the midst of such travels would be the clear sense of God’s guidance, so as to distinguish God’s will from personal preferences. As we examine today’s passage, and consider how God guides us in the midst of conflict, new beginnings, and unexpected opportunities, lets learn how to distinguish between God’s will and personal desires.
