the surface temperature must not exceed 24 degrees.

You can use this kit to treat a new unfinished wood floor, to renovate an entire wood floor or to adapt surfaces adjacent to your floor, such as wooden stairs or doors.

1. Colour stain The colour stain, which must be applied first, is a coat of priming colour that is used in combination with a Natural Oil to create spectacular effects. The optimum molecular bonding of the Natural Oil with the wood is preserved.

Make sure that you care for your natural oil-treated wood floor from ter Hürne by using only cleaning and conditioning accessories that have been specially developed for such surfaces.

Wood is a tough material and fortunately it will sustain serious damage from other objects or heat only very rarely. This is where the ter Hürne repair kit for Natural Oil floors comes in.

2. Natural Oil When used alone: Sand the floor in preparation, using first coarse sandpaper and then finer sandpaper, depending on the appearance you wish to achieve. Then vacuum the floor to ensure it is completely free of dust.

Both kits comprise a colour stain and a natural oil (or just oil in the case of certain surfaces) that are matched to the surface colour of the wood floor.

Sand the surface down well. When renovating old floors, make sure that all surplus residue from earlier treatments (paint, oil, wax, etc.) is completely removed. Then vacuum the floor to ensure it is completely free of dust. Stir the colour stain thoroughly. Apply the colour stain evenly, preferably using a special paintbrush if available. If not, use a cloth or regular brush. Avoid overlaps by always painting right to the end of a plank and not stopping in the middle. Leave the surface to dry for one to three hours. The drying time will depend on the underlying floor and on the degree of wetness, the temperature and the level of ventilation.

Following pre-treatment with the colour stain: Having stirred it well, apply the Natural Oil sparingly with a cotton cloth, a brush or a wiper with a cloth. Always work in the direction of the planks. Leave to work for at least three minutes. Then remove the surplus Natural Oil within 15 to 20 minutes using a wiper, a cloth or a rotary cleaner with a clean white pad. Split the total area up into sections that you can handle in 15 to 20 minutes. Once the surface has been rubbed, it must feel almost dry. Make sure the room is sufficiently ventilated. Do not walk on the treated floor for 12 hours. Wait 36 hours before replacing the furniture. During the first three weeks, use only a dry dust cloth or a vacuum cleaner to carefully clean the treated area, as it takes this long for the surface to harden fully. Once the three weeks are over, you can use ter Hürne conditioning concentrate for moist cleaning and care.

For a floor that always looks in tip-top condition

The little helper you should always keep within reach

For areas where your floor is most in demand

Make your floor look as good as new

This special conditioning concentrate from ter Hürne gently but thoroughly cleans away the traces that everyday life leaves on your floor in the form of dust and dirt. It restores the natural, matt appearance of a natural oil-treated wood floor.

Always keep the stain remover to hand and those little mishaps that we all have from time to time will be forgotten in a flash. This cleaner is ready for use, so can be applied immediately after a stain has formed, thus preventing liquids from penetrating the Natural Oil-treated surface. After the product has had time to work, you simply wipe the affected area clean with a dry cloth.

Every room has areas where particularly high demands are made of the floor surface, such as well-used walking routes or spots where the sun‘s rays can be quite intense. This refreshing spray visibly and tangibly regenerates areas of your wood floor that have become rough or lighter in colour over time. Applied carefully, you will not be able to see the join between treated and non-treated areas.

This ter Hürne intensive conditioning oil is used to restore the protective function and appearance of the entire floor area. With its deep penetrating action, the intensive conditioning oil saturates the surface of the wood again, making it shine like it did on the day it was laid.

Instructions for use: As soon as the stain occurs, apply the cleaner liberally to the soiled area to prevent the stain penetrating the surface. Leave it to work for a few minutes. Clean the stain remover off with a paper towel or a dry cloth. To remove stubborn stains, repeat the process until the required result is achieved.

Instructions for use: Remove all dust and dirt from the floor. The refreshing spray is ready for use; spray it sparingly onto the clean surface or apply it with a cloth, then wipe it off gently with a cloth or a paper towel. Rub the surface with an absorbent cloth. It is important that you only apply the spray to areas that you can rub dry within 15 to 20 minutes (i.e. not very large areas). The treated area can be walked on about four hours after it has been refreshed. The frequency of use will depend on the intensity of the action to which the floor is subjected and on the desired effect.

Instructions for use: Once you have laid the floor or treated it with ter Hürne Natural Oil, it will take about three weeks for the surface to fully harden. During the first week, we recommend that you only clean the floor with a vacuum cleaner or a dry cloth. Do not use wet cloths! In the second week, the floor can be carefully cleaned with a slightly damp cloth. During the hardening period, areas that are walked on frequently should be protected with breathable material (e.g. cardboard, paperboard), which should be laid 48 hours after installation of the floor. Before applying the conditioning concentrate, clean the surface of dirt and dust. For an area of 15 – 20 m2, add around 100 ml of conditioning concentrate to a bucket containing 5 litres of water. Dip the mop into the solution and then wring it out until the mop is just damp. Always wipe a floor in the direction of the wood. Moisten sufficiently, but do not leave any surplus water on the surface. Do not walk on the floor until it is completely dry (which takes about 30 minutes).

Instructions for use: Remove any dust and dirt from the surface and clean it thoroughly using ter Hürne conditioning concentrate. Then rinse with clean water to remove all traces of cleaner. Leave the surface to dry. Use a cloth or sponge to apply the intensive conditioning oil to sections measuring about 2 to 4 m2. Use the intensive conditioning oil very sparingly to avoid the floor becoming sticky. Each treated section must be rubbed dry with paper towels within 10 to 15 minutes. A polishing machine is best used with a lint-free cotton cloth. Ensure sufficient ventilation for the floor to dry thoroughly. This will take about six hours. Finally, rub the floor with a dry, lint-free cotton cloth. After 48 hours, the floor can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth. Please do not use soap. After a week, water and conditioning concentrate can be used to clean the floor. Note: In the case of extreme wear, the surface should be renewed using the original hard wax oil. This task should be performed by a qualified parquet flooring expert if at all possible.

Tip: Use a second bucket with clear water to periodically clean your mop whilst washing the floor.
