JOB OVERVIEW (CNC MANUFACTURING ENGINEER) The successful CNC Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing optimal, cost effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and standards. Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods, and controls. Coordinates manufacturing launch for new or existing products. This position will coordinate between research and development, management, production, technical sales, and quality to meet customer requirements. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:  Performs research, design, and development of manufacturing processes, production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment  Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new or revised products  Design, develop, test, and cost justify various equipment for recommended manufacturing methods  Work with outside suppliers to bring the best tooling into production  Supply CNC Machine Operators with technical information in order to comply with Quality standards and time constraints  Evaluate problems regarding manufacturing processes; recommend product design or process changes to reduce cost or simplify the manufacturing process  Analyze, review, and alter programs to increase operating efficiency  Evaluate and approve drawings, specs, and other documents to include creation of setup and work instructions for specific jobs  Maintaining and updating manufacturing rates and records and ensure machines are operating at highest level of productivity  Additional roles and responsibilities as assigned QUALIFICATIONS:  BS Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field  Design and drafting experience, preferably using Solidworks  Knowledge or proficiency in Mastercam is a plus  Ability to read and understand 2D drawings and GD&T blueprints  Proficient in computers and specific software; MS Project, CAD, Visio, Microsoft Office, MasterCam  Strong communication skills and computer skills  Demonstrated ability to work multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize and balance multiple tasks  Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work well in cross functional teams

Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent organizational, problem solving, and verbal/written communication skills Good interpersonal skills and ability to interface with people at all levels in numerous functions Must be open-minded, flexible, and able to adapt easily and accept new ideas quickly 2-5 years of experience in related role or field Robot programming CNC machining experience Experience with Lean Manufacturing Ability to build relationships with customers and suppliers Ability to troubleshoot complex processes Working knowledge of SPC and Six Sigma including DOE is preferred ISO experience Ability to wear proper personal protective equipment (earplugs, safety glasses, respirator) Ability to lift 50 lbs.
