Schedule 9 to 9:30 a.m. | Welcome and Admissions Overview A welcome from TSCT President Dr. William Griscom and a general overview of the admissions process, including financial aid.
9:30 to 11 a.m. | Career Pathways Expo New for Spring 2017! Join TSCT faculty and staff, along with industry leaders, for an expo full of opportunities. You will have the chance to speak with your future professors and instructors on what to expect in any of TSCT’s 23 majors. Plus, hear what a career in their industry is like direct from pros who are looking to hire Thaddeus Stevens graduates. You’ll be able to chart a clear path from college to your future! See map on page 4-5.
9:30 to 11:30 a.m. | Campus Tours Whether it’s your first time to campus or you are a return visitor, take a peek at what our campus has to offer! Departing from the MAC lobby, the general walking tour will showcase where resources and majors are located on the main campus. Tours will run concurrently with the Career Pathways Expo.
10 to 11:15 a.m. | Breakout Sessions Dig deeper on what makes Thaddeus Stevens unique by attending small group breakout sessions on various topics. See descriptions and schedule on the next page. It is not necessary to attend all sessions. Please note: Seating may be limited. All breakout sessions will be held in the Learning Resource Center.
11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. | Open Campus Visit our program classrooms, labs and work areas and speak to instructors and/or students from the program one-on-one. All buildings on campus will be open for you to visit, as well as classrooms at the Branch Campus (1100 East Orange Street, Lancaster) and Greenfield Corporate Center (1812 Colonial Village Lane). See Lab Locator on page 6.

BREAKOUT SESSIONS academic services
This session will cover the academic resources available to all students and an overview of the pre-major program. Presenter: Sheri Wright, Director of the Academic Center
career services: job/internship placement
TSCT boasts a 96 percent placement rate for its graduates. This session will cover the job outlook/demand for our programs and how the Career Services office will help you secure internships and navigate the job search process. Presenter: Laurie Grove, Director of Career Services
counseling & accessibility
This session will address common student concerns related to transitioning to college. Emphasis will be on expectations of students and essential skills required for programs as they relate to student success and accessibility. Presenter: Debra Schuch, Disability Services & Counseling Coordinator
intercollegiate athletics
Thaddeus Stevens athletes compete at both the state and national levels. Learn about th Athletic Department and what a student athlete must do to maintain eligibility. Presenter: Dr. Christopher Metzler, Dean of Student Services & Athletic Director

Approximately half of all TSCT students live on campus. This session outlines accommodations, services and expectations in our residential community. Presenter: Jason Kuntz, Director of Residence Life
soft skills: what every employer wants
Technical employers consistently tell us they are not only looking for employees with skills, but also logical thinkers, strong communicators and good learners. MAKE YOUR VISIT COUNT residence halls Three residence halls will be open for visits. Drop in during Open Campus or following a guided Campus Tour, which will end at the residence halls. Open dorm rooms on Main Campus are Herrington 108 for men (#8 on map) and Brenner 203 for women (#7 on map). Branch E-265 will also be open for visitors to the Branch Campus. (About half of all residential students are housed at Branch Campus.)
shuttle service Make sure you see all the cutting-edge technology available to Thaddeus Stevens students! For your convenience, shuttles to and from the college’s satellite locations will run to and from the MAC during the Open Campus portion of the day (11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
on-site applications Ready to join the Stevens family in 2017? Apply onsite! TSCT staff will be available throughout the event to guide students through the application process on the second floor conference room in the MAC. Laptops provided. BONUS: Apply during the Open House and the College will waive your $45 application fee! (Fall 2017 enrollees only.)
