Commonwealth of Massachusetts – Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development (EOLWD) is requesting to fill a position (Sr. Windows 2012 Server Administrator with Expert IIS). Please see the below-written job description utilizing the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ Statewide Contract ITS53StaffAugCat1. ITS53StaffAugCat1 approved vendors are asked to submit unlimited Resource resumes with the bill rate quote for each Resource to the following email: [email protected] The Subject Line should reference ITS53 Sr. Windows 2012 Server Admin. with Expert IIS FY14 EOL 444 (Vendor Name) EOLWD may require interviews and will conduct a CORI check on the selected candidate(s). The engagement is expected to last through June 30, 2014. Any Resource resume submitted must be able to commit to work for an unrestricted period of time. The selected Resource will be asked to begin work immediately; scheduled hours are Monday thru Friday 8:30 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. additional hours may be required. Please make sure to indicate on the resume if the Resource is presently working for another Commonwealth State Agency or has worked for a Commonwealth Agency within the 12 months prior to submission of the resume. The ITS53 Employee Certification Form must be signed by any Resource whose services are obtained under ITS53StaffAugCat1. Commonwealth of Massachusetts – Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development Functional Title: Sr. Windows 2012 Server Administrator with Expert IIS Sr. Windows 2012 Server Administrator with Expert IIS experience Consultant Job Duties Overview: The Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development (EOLWD), Department of Unemployment Assistance (DUA) provides the Unemployment Insurance Online (UI Online) system to claimants and employers of Massachusetts. The UI Online production system is a high traffic enterprise level application consisting, in relevant part, of six web servers and fifteen application servers running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 (WS03) and Internet Information Services 6.0 (IIS6). Additionally, there is a set of test environments, Development, System Test, and User Acceptance Testing also running WS03/IIS6. The goal of this project is the migration of the test and production environments from WS03/IIS6 to Microsoft Windows Server 2012 (WS12) and Internet Information Services 8.0 (IIS8.0). Statement of Duties and Responsibilities: The consultant shall assist and work closely with Labor and Workforce Development Information Technology (LWD IT) staff to install and configure the 2012 servers and produce a detailed migration plan for the test and production environments. This shall result in a migration plan and build-out document specifying all steps and settings to configure a server for optimal performance. Further, consultant and LWD IT staff shall build-out web/application servers for all development, test and the production environments. As a part of IIS performance tuning, the consultant shall monitor and gather performance statistics, which shall be analyzed resulting in a set of recommendations for the proper IIS configuration. Qualifications:           

Sr. level experience in administering Windows 2012 server In-depth knowledge of IIS 6, 7 and 8 architectures In-depth experience installing and configuring IIS 8 Hands-on experience migrating from IIS6 to IIS 8. Demonstrable migration/upgrade experience with a system of similar size and complexity Strong experience with IIS performance tuning IIS troubleshooting experience and best practices implementation Experience supporting high availability enterprise level web applications running on IIS Servers Excellent communication skills with ability to connect with business stake holders and technical staff The ability to write clear and succinct technical documentation Microsoft certification preferred
