Dog Walking Walking your dog is a great way to exercise for both you and your pet and it’s also an opportunity to get out and enjoy the neighborhood. For those of you who walk your pets, please remember to keep your animal on a leash and to clean up after them. Your neighbors will appreciate your consideration!

2009 Assessments

Calling all Willowlake Weekend Warriors!!! Do you like sports? Do you want to have some fun? Do you want to meet neighbors and get some exercise too? Looking for all Adult neighborhood residents interested in some pick-up basketball games. I would like to organize some friendly games or at least connect neighborhood players. All skill levels welcome. If interested email me your information -- name, email, phone, preferred available days and times, comments, etc. Spread the word to your neighbors, the more responses the better. See you on the court Ron Watson [email protected]

LADIES BUNKO NIGHT

Billing of the 2009 assessments is just around the corner! As a reminder if you are unable pay your assessment in full by the due date of January 1st, please contact SCS Management Services and set up installment arrangements. The installment plan does not stop the late penalty in February but it does stop any further collection proceedings. Charge for a four (4) month installment plan is $15.00. You may also, prior to January 1st and at no additional cost, make payments toward your next year’s assessment giving you a head start in paying off the balance.

Pool Is Closed! The pool is now closed for the season! Make sure to keep your card keys in a safe place, as they will be used again next year! All cards are deactivated at this time. As you register next year your card will be reactivated. Replacement cards are $5.00 a piece. Copyright © 2008 Peel, Inc.

Ladies BUNKO Group is looking for players. We meet on the 4th Monday night of every month.  Come for food and fun.  Dice and food will be provided.  Just bring yourselves along with a $5 contribution.  Prizes are distributed at the end of the night!  For more details contact Amy Shearon at abar@rice. edu or 281-894-7663. Holiday Pet Tips Submitted by Melissa Todd

As you celebrate the season, it’s important to keep your furry friends safe and stress-free. Household changes and activity can be very hard on pets. • Be careful with holiday decorations. Many plants and berries (poinsettias, mistletoe, ivy and holly to name a few) can be toxic to pets. Also be careful where you hang ornaments and decorations…the higher the better! • Gatherings of people and holiday parties can frighten animals. Plan a safe place for them to retreat too when company arrives or when Halloween doorbells are ringing. • Holiday leftovers can wreak havoc with your pet’s digestive system. This is especially true with older pets. Turkey drippings, poultry bones and chocolate can all result in a trip to the emergency vet.
