Mr. Aldridge passed away October 4, 2015. Mr. Aldridge, a native of Huntsville, AL, was the son of the late John and Maimie White Aldridge. He worked for Carrier Corp before retirement. He attended the Church of Christ. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed watching Western TV shows and movies. He also was a talented whittler and would craft walking canes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Mark, Winston, Phillip and Kendil; sister, Earline Flemming; and grandchildren, Danny Jo Myers and Karen Surena Tuck. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Aldridge of Manchester; daughters, Beverly Myers of Connelly Springs, NC, Jeffrenia Adams of Tullahoma and Carimea Adams and husband, George of Manchester; sisters, Nancy, Debbie and Virginia; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren plus two on the way; one great great granddaughter; and one great great grandson. On May 31, 2015, Richard Milner suffered a fall, fracturing his hip. During his recovery from the fall, he needed gallbladder surgery. He came to Lynchburg Nursing Center for a short rehab stay. Oliver has since recovered and is ready for a great home! He is approximately 3 months old. Oliver is good with other pets and children.
