Compliance Officer Salary: £23,000 to £27,000 Permanent - Full Time, Location: Oxford Navitas is a diversified global education provider that offers an extensive range of educational services for students and professionals including university programs, language training, workforce education and student recruitment.

Navitas UK is seeking an exceptional individual to provide compliance service provision to the UK College and SAE network. As Compliance Officer (CO) you will help to provide compliance service provision to the Navitas UK and SAE college network to facilitate a culture that is responsive to change and adaptive to compliance pressures on the network. We will look to you to maintain sound working relationships with our centralised Admission and Recruitment Centre (ARC) so as to ensure that our compliance priorities and objectives are met. The CO will support the UK compliance function as an integral part of the corporate service provision.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

Education: Tertiary Level education or possesses relevant sector qualifications/training Practical Experience and Knowledge: An awareness of the UK immigration rules and requirements, and strong IT skills. Experience in providing an exceptional level of customer services to a range of stakeholders. Communications: Excellent oral, written and inter-personal communications skills in dealing with individuals and groups at all levels. Overview and Objectives of the Position:

As Compliance Officer (CO) you will help to provide compliance service provision to Navitas UK and SAE UK. You will facilitate a culture that is responsive to change and adaptive to compliance pressures on the network. We will look to you to maintain sound working relationships with our centralised Admission and Recruitment Centre, global network of agents and Source Country Offices. This is to ensure that our compliance priorities and objectives are met. The CO will support the UK compliance function as an integral part of the corporate service provision. As the first point of contact for the Admission and Recruitment Centre, the role will include providing assessment of applicant documentation, as well as the identification and management of applicant risk. The CO, in addition to the compliance services noted above, would be expected to work actively with other members of the network to provide a confident and cohesive approach to organisational issues. You'll be expected to forge effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, so superb communication and negotiation skills are vital. As someone who is self-motivated and passionate about the value of education, you'll not only bring a track record of continuous improvement, but you'll also be excellent at handling the day-to-day activities of the Compliance Systems and Services function.

Key Result Areas:  

        

Learn and understand the Points Based System compliance regime in which we operate, and become a specialist within agreed areas. Act as the first point of contact for the centralised Admission and Recruitment Centre in the provision of compliance advice. This will include advising on and vetting student’s application documents, as well as participation in our Admission Interview processes. Participate in the design, implementation and review of business processes and policies to ensure their ongoing adherence to relevant legislative requirements. Provide analysis and reports on key compliance metrics to aid in our continued compliance improvement. Assist in the provision of our ongoing calendar of training opportunities provided to staff, Source Country Office network and Agents in areas such as Tier 4 Compliance and CMA. Assist in maintaining strong relationships with our external partners and partner Universities through the provision of data and regular network updates. Provide advice to our Agent network on student visa applications and risk mitigation. Support Navitas Group compliance projects and initiatives. Participate in our ongoing internal audit schedule of UK Colleges and SAE. Any other duties as required as part of the Shared Compliance Service. The post holder must be willing and able to travel both inside and outside of the UK as required and to have a full current driving license or access to a form of transport to enable him/her to meet the requirements of the post in full.
