HOW I CAN MAKE SURE EVERY WEEK IS A WIN? That every song slide, video and all sermon power points are presented in a timely manner so that the service is seamless and there are no distractions.

THE SCHEDULE The current schedule for this ministry is to serve on a regular rotation 1 Sunday every month at all three of our worship services from 9:00AM to 12:40 PM as well as the Wednesday night rehearsal from 6:30 to 8:00 PM on the week you are scheduled to run the computer. What do I do if I can’t be there? You must notify Colt by the Monday before the Sunday you are scheduled to run the computer so he can find a replacement for you.

THE PROCEDURE To be at the sound booth at 7:30 AM on the Sunday you are scheduled to run the computer for a Sunday morning rehearsal. Following rehearsal you will be running the computer for 3 services, the first one starting at 9:00 AM and the last ending at 12:40 PM.

This Playbook is a resource for all Parkway Fellowship campuses. It is meant to be an instruction manual for the Computer Tech Ministry Team. Should you have any specific questions not covered by this Playbook, please contact the Media Pastor.

HOW CAN I MAKE SURE EVERY WEEK IS A WIN? That every song slide, video and all sermon power points are presented in a timely manner so that the service is seamless and there are no distractions. How does this ministry “reach the lost at any cost and grow them to maturity”? (our Mission Statement) It important to have the best video and slide presentation possible to attract the non churched and especially younger people. People have access to state of the art media in many areas of their lives and it is important to reproduce that high quality in church to attract the lost. Which of the 5 Biblical purposes does this ministry fulfill?  Worship : By having a high quality media presentation that is flawlessly presented, it enables the congregation to worship and learn more about God without distractions. 

Evangelism : in reaching out to the lost with the use of popular and high quality media it makes it appealing for our members to invite their friends to church.

Yes you can but must join the church within the first 6 months that you join this ministry. Who is the pastor ultimately responsible for this ministry? Pat Hunt is the pastor over this ministry.

THE SCHEDULE A new schedule is made out every 6 months. You will be averaging 1 Sunday a month depending on your personal schedule. If for some reason you are scheduled on a Sunday that you cannot attend, please contact Colt no later than the Monday prior to the Sunday you are to serve so he can get a replacement. What am I committing to? This is a high commitment ministry. You will be scheduled for 1 Sunday a month from 7:30 Am to 12:40 PM. There is a 1½ hour rehearsal on Wed. nights from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. You only need to attend the rehearsals on the weeks you are scheduled to run the computer. Computer Tech Ministry Team rehearsal. It is important to listen to the music in advance of rehearsal so that you are familiar with the songs that you will be running PowerPoint for on Sunday morning. The timing on when to change each slide is vital to a seamless Sunday morning and a great service. There is a picture of what Media Shout looks like on the following page. How long is this going to take me every week? You will be required to be at church on the days you serve from 7:30 to about 12:40 PM and from 6:30 to 8:00PM on the Wednesday prior to the Sunday you will serve. What do I do if I can’t be there? Get in touch with Colt for an interview and training.

THE PROCEDURE What do I do? There is a rehearsal on Wed. night that goes from 6:30 to 8:00 PM in the worship center. You will be required to attend the rehearsal and run the computer for the band and praise team. It is a time to learn your cues for the worship set and get familiar with the videos and PowerPoint for the week. You need to be at the sound booth at 7:30AM for a rehearsal on the Sundays you are scheduled to run the computer. Following rehearsal you will be running the computer for 3 services starting at 9:00 AM and ending no later than 12:40 PM. The 3 services are 9:00, 10:20 and 11:40 AM. The worship part of the service covers the first 20 minutes of each service. There is a sermon that follows then a song at the end. You will be required to be at the sound booth no later than 12 minutes before the service begins. You will be responsible for starting the 10 minute countdown at precisely 10 minutes till the service begins. There is a clock in the sound booth that we use for to start the countdown. Promptness is a requirement for this ministry. You will be running all media (song lyrics, sermon slides, video entrance and any videos to be shown during the service on Media Shout our media software). There is no down time during the service. You will need to be fully involved and engaged during the entire service There is a service outline that we follow on the following page and a link to Media Shout below as well as pictures of an open media Shout page with a few instructions. www.mediashout.com When do I get a break? You will get an 8 minute break between each service. Resources Everything is provided for you. You will be running a Dell Pc.(next page) with Media Shout as our multimedia computer.
