weekly focus: helping those in poverty in our community God has been teaching Calvary how to care for those who are marginalized and hurting in our area. Calvary is organizing an “Affordable Housing” committee that will come alongside a local nonprofit, Partners in Housing. PIH buys manufactured homes and refurbishes them for a homeless family to own. This creates stable and affordable housing with the average cost at $450/month. They have acquired two new homes for Calvary volunteers to refurbish. We need you to help with demo, renovation, furnishing, and even stocking the pantry of this new home. Here are ways you can help: Demolition • Removal furniture • Remove items in cupboards • Remove window treatments • Remove carpet Construction • Plumbing repair • Electrical repair • Flooring repair • Roofing repair • HVAC installation • Remove nails and fill holes • Remove outlet plates • Tape for painters and prime • Painting ceiling • Painting walls • Painting cabinets • Painting doors

Completion • Hang blinds • Reattach outlet plates • Reinstall hardware • Install smoke alarms • Wash stove • Wash refrigerator • Wash windows • Wash cupboards • Line cupboards • Sweep floors • Stock pantry • Stage furniture • Provide first meal for family Other • Pray for our teams of volunteers • Provide food for volunteers • Fill wish list for items needed for family

To get involved, contact Natalie Uecker (nuecker@calvarygr. org) at ext. 5181 or drop off your filled-in bulletin at the Connection Point after this morning’s service.

Thank you so much for supporting us all the time - through cancer, the twins and recently through the death of my father. Your hands, feet and tongues have not left an inch of room for doubt that no matter what life brings, our Heavenly Father is still good and still loves us. Thank you for all the time, effort and money you have devoted to this purpose! We pray that we remember what we have learned from you so that we might serve others in the same way. Your flowers at my dad’s funeral were a wonderful reminder. Thank you! Justin & Anna Walz and kids
