Blood Drive set for March 2

ign up today in the Lobby for the March 2 blood drive. Donation times are from 8 a.m. through 12:30 p.m. More than 1,000 units of blood are needed each day in our 26-county area, so please plan to donate at this drive. There will be a drawing for two items from the Commit for Life Store. For more information, contact Marsha Asplin at [email protected].

Christ has no hands but our hands Dear Friends, God uses us to “connect the world with God’s love.” A couple of Sundays back, I shared a poem about this subject. The poem is by Annie Johnson Flint. Christ has no hands but our hands To do His work today; He has no feet but our feet To lead (others) in His way; He has no tongue but our tongues To tell (others) how he died; He has no help but our help To bring them to His side.

t. Peter’s will offer the God and Church program for all Scouts in grades 6 through 8. The program begins March 2 and will meet from 5 to 6 p.m. in E227. The cost is $10. Registration forms are at the Information Desk in the Lobby. For more information, contact Dawn Champagne at [email protected].

There is a story about a farmer who bought an old farm that had been unoccupied for many years. The farmhouse was run-down, the weeds had taken over everything, and a great deal of work was required to bring the farm back up to a functioning endeavor. After the Dr. Pat Sparks, Senior Pastor farmer had spent many months working on the house, barn, fences, and even the land, he thought it was ready to begin farming. He invited a friend over to see his new farm. When the friend looked out over the land, noticing the house and barn and well-prepared land, he said to the farmer, “Look what God has done – it is beautiful!” The farmer thought about what his friend had just said and then replied, “You should have seen it when God had it by Himself!” Obviously, the point is that God uses us to accomplish God’s work. God counts on us to be generous with our prayers, our presence, our gifts, our service and our witness. These are the ways we go about “connecting the world with God’s love.” I hope to see you in church this Sunday. Grace and Peace,

most exciting news right now is that we are less than two weeks away

from taking over the new Music building. As of today, we are hoping to take possession of this space on Feb. 24, which will also be the same day we begin the landscaping around the building. As soon as we get David Galasso and his crew moved in, we will begin work on the new Sacristy and the new area behind the chancel. This will be our last project to start! The Wesley Student Center and the new Nursery also continue to move along nicely. In the Nursery, the millwork will be installed next week, which will allow the painting and flooring to fall right in line behind it. We are still right on schedule and could potentially be looking at an earlier takeover date. In Wesley, the new roof has been installed as well as all of the new mechanical systems. The framing is finished, and they will soon be completing the sheetrock and moving right into the millwork. The new Library and classroom behind the Sanctuary are moving ex-
