Manager/Coordinator of Student Services Salary Range Manager: £32,000 - £38,000 Coordinator: £26,000 - £32,000 Permanent – Full Time Navitas is a diversified global education provider that offers an extensive range of educational services for students and professionals including university programs and language training. International College Wales Swansea (ICWS) is currently recruiting for a Manager/Coordinator of Student Services (the appointment level will depend on experience), based on campus at Swansea University. The role will focus on managing/coordinating the key aspects of the student life cycle with regard to records and reporting compliance, student support and welfare services, orientation and information services, student accommodation, immigration status and student inclusion and engagement.

Essential:               

University level qualifications and experience in a relevant industry and/or have equivalent qualifications and/or professional experience Demonstrated management/coordination skills, either in a customer services and/or education environment Demonstrable process and people management/coordination skills Demonstrable organisational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task To be able to manage/coordinate oneself and a small team Highly developed interpersonal skills Excellent numeracy, oral and written communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Demonstrated commitment to quality assurance in service delivery Sound knowledge of equal opportunity, equity and workplace health and safety principles Ability and understanding of the need to work closely with marketing and recruitment imperatives Innovative thinking and proactive work habits with a demonstrated eye for detail IT literacy particularly Microsoft Office environment Commitment to self-improvement Flexible attitude to work in support of individual student needs

University Programmes Division

Reports to: Director of Academic and Support Services

Purpose of Position The MSS is a critical member of the College team with a focus on managing the key aspects of the student life cycle with regard to records and reporting compliance, student support and welfare services, orientation and information services, student accommodation, immigration status and student inclusion and engagement. The MSS works with Manager/s (depending on the college structure) and is supported by Officers/Coordinators in the provision if comprehensive information management and support services to students. The role requires a high energy, self-starter who is able to use their initiative and be an active and productive member of a cross functional team, working with the academic, admission, finance, ICT and marketing functions of the College to which he/she is attached.

Reports to: Director of Academic and Support Services

Purpose of Position The position of Student Services Co-ordinator is line managed by the Director of Academic and Support Services and requires skills in the coordination of students through their lifecycle at the College: fees (tuition and accommodation); arrival, orientation and enrolment; accommodation service; records management (database and student records management); welfare support (student in jeopardy programme); visa monitoring and renewal services; interpersonal communication. The Student Services Co-ordinator will be required to participate in the development of and coordinating the implementation of the services and support plan and the coordination of the student support operations. The Student Services Co-ordinator is expected to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment inclusive of Marketing/Admissions and Academic teams.
