CORPORATE Monster Energy Corona, California Build-out of 125,000 SF in a six-story building. With tk1sc providing mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering, voice/data cabling design, access control & CCTV system design, data center design and studio K1 providing lighting design, this project showcases all of tk1sc’s design capabilities. In addition, tk1sc leveraged the “intelligence” within each of these systems to create a unified Facility Management Systems or “single pane of glass” management display allowing transparent access, monitoring and management for each of these systems in one place.

Watson Land Company Carson, California The Watson Land Company’s new corporate headquarters is targeting LEEDNC Platinum certification to support and represent the company’s philosophy of constructing sustainable buildings for their clients. The design goal was to have a simple, energy efficient design while also striving for an interesting, modern and comfortable work environment.

QLogic Corporation Shakopee, Minnesota A large manufacturer of data, server, and storage networking components moved into a new two-story, 120,000 SF building near Minneapolis, Minnesota. After working with the Client to determine appropriate Data Center Tier based on operational needs, the firm provided space planning for a 35cabinet data center with an 18-inch raised floor, redundant UPS systems and a generator connection point for a trailer-mounted portable standby generator. Power and HVAC systems are designed to be concurrently maintainable, avoiding the need for system shutdown during maintenance. tk1sc provided mechanical,

CORPORATE Toyota Corporate Headquarters Torrance, California Located on Toyota's headquarters campus are five, three-story buildings, totaling 625,000 SF, and is currently one of the largest LEED Gold-rated privately funded projects in the country. The high energy-efficient design includes the largest privately owned rooftop Photovoltaic (PV) System installation in the country.

Press Enterprise Riverside, California 5-Story Office Building. The project was designed to meet sustainable design requirements as prescribed by the U.S. Green Building Council. 150,000 SF total.

California State University, Chancellor's Headquarters Long Beach, California Six-story, build-to-suit office building to house the offices & assembly chambers of the Chancellor of the California State University system. 180,000 SF

 

CORPORATE Adams Rite Manufacturing – Fullerton, California Aerojet Electrosystems Executive Office Building – Azusa, California 100,000 SF office building. Alcoa Inter Con-X – San Diego, California Manufacturing Facility, Class 100K Clean Rooms, 108,000 SF Total Boeing – Anaheim, California This two-floor facility totals approximately 40,500 SF and consisted of the addition of a new 12,500 SF second floor structure and improvement of 28,000 SF of existing first floor area. Boy Scouts of America – Los Angeles, California Los Angeles Council Cushman Watt Service Center. 3-Story Operations Center with Outdoor Recreation area above garage. MEP Services British Petroleum Office Building – Carson, California 125,150 SF, four-story build-to-suit office building. Sustainable design features include underfloor air conditioning, low-flow plumbing fixtures and solar domestic water heating. The building is 27.5% more efficient than a typical Title 24 building. The project has earned a LEED Gold certification. Carl Karcher Enterprises Headquarters – Anaheim, California Build-to-Suit. Headquarters facility and distribution warehouse. 90,000 SF Centurion Partners Headquarters – Newport Beach, California 8,000 SF Single-story Office Building over one level of subterranean parking. CORPORATE Experian Corporate Headquarters - Costa Mesa, California This office campus project consisted of three 4-story office buildings housing Experian's new Southern California headquarters. The project included a Technology Center, Executive Offices, full-service cafeteria and 2-story glazed Entry Lobby/Building Connector. 310,000 SF total. First American Headquarters - Santa Ana, California The First American Finance Company headquarters campus consists of six two-story, three-story, and four-story buildings, totaling 435,000 SF. The project also includes a 50,000 SF base isolated Tier 4 / Level 9 data center building with a raised floor data center environment of 15,000 SF. Fluor Daniel Corporate Headquarters – Aliso Viejo, California Multi-Building Campus. 535,000 SF total. CORPORATE La Jolla Group – Irvine, California La Jolla Group’s new corporate headquarters in Irvine features an advanced distribution center, more than a dozen high-tech conference rooms and meeting areas, design studios, a photo studio, a 2,000 SF model retail store, and an indoor skate park with quarter pipes and rail hits. La Jolla Group is the parent company of O’Neill Clothing, Lost Clothing, Metal Mulisha and Rusty North America. tk1sc provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering, architectural lighting design, telecommunications design, audio / visual systems design, security systems design, fire alarm system design, and utility company consulting services for this project. Mossimo Headquarters – Irvine, California The 42,000 SF corporate headquarters with executive offices, design studios, a graphics department, manufacturing space and a 164,000 SF warehouse/distribution facility. Meade Instruments – Irvine, California Metropolitan Transit Authority Headquarters - Los Angeles, California 28-story high rise office building above four levels of subterranean parking consolidating all Los Angeles Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) functions to a single building. Project included office space, data center, retail, child care and food service facilities and is sighted at the Union Station Gateway Center Transportation Hub. Related projects included the East Portal, a six-story mechanically ventilated atrium structure linking Union Station to the Gateway Center Bus Plaza, Subterranean parking and subway. 650,000 SF. Metropolitan Water District Headquarters – Los Angeles, California 12-story high rise office building above two levels of subterranean parking. 500,000 SF. CORPORATE Oakley Technical Center - Foothill Ranch, California The headquarters facility for this cutting-edge optics manufacturer includes product design areas, offices, theatre, recreational facilities, manufacturing areas, Full service commercial employee cafeteria and retail areas.

Mechanical and plumbing

systems were designed to address a multitude of functional needs including process cooling systems, manufacturing and assembly ventilation systems and plumbing process piping (water, gas & compressed air). Mechanical systems were also carefully integrated into the various cutting edge architectural features of the building. 400,000 SF Total Orange County's Credit Union – Santa Ana, California 2-Story Office Building, 50,000 SF and Single-Story Bank Branch, 6,000 SF. Pacific Life at The Summit - Aliso Viejo, California This 9-Story office building project was built to consolidate and expand operations for Pacific Life in the south Orange County area. Supporting over 1,000 employees the facility includes a Satellite Data Center and Employee Cafeteria. A remote ongrade Central Plant provides all building utilities thus minimizing maintenance and structural costs. Project included a 6-Level Parking Structure. Design features included High-efficiency redundant chilled water central plant with air and water-cooled chillers, variable air volume air handling units on each floor, and combined high-density cooling solutions for the Data Center. 246,000 SF Premier Automotive Group World Headquarters – Irvine, California This Office Building and Product Design facility was the first project to meet LEED certification requirements as prescribed by the U.S. Green Building Council. The facility housed five Premier Automotive Group vehicle lines owned by the Ford Motor Company. Five-story office building & Two-story product development wing. LEED Certified 263,600 SF Total Regency Tower Office Building – Riverside, California Build-to-Suit for Riverside County District Attorney. 10-story office building, 267,000 SF. Project includes three-levels of mechanically ventilated basement parking, 156,800 SF. This project is LEED Silver Certified. Sony Service Center – Irvine, California State Compensation Insurance Fund – Oxnard, California 6-Story Office Building. 120,000 SF total. Project included general office areas, an employee cafeteria with commercial kitchens, product development kitchens, daycare facility and fitness center. LEED CI Gold Certified. Univision – Los Angeles, California Five-Story Office Building. Corporate Headquarters and Television Production Facility. 161,000 SF Verizon Wireless Headquarters Campus – Irvine, California Five, 2-story and 3-story buildings totaling 470,000 SF, including administration areas, call center, full service cafeteria and data center. Verizon Wireless Rancho Cordova Campus – Rancho Cordova, California Viking Office Products – Los Angeles, California Wakunaga Pharmaceuticals – Mira Loma, California Corporate Headquarters including Office, Product Production & Processing and Warehouse & Shipping. 57,750 SF Western Digital - Irvine, California 365,000 SF headquarters consisting of office space, data center and 165,000 SF of test lab for the testing of hard drive components. Over 5,000 lineal feet of overhead Starline Track Busway was installed within the test labs supported by Power Distribution Units.
