guidance stated in the text and Supporting Information. Without this clarification under Step 2 of the figure, model users may be overly conservative in their selection of models and not choose from all best available models. The correction specifies that users should only select models with a mean square error ≤0.55 for models with taxonomic distance greater than 6 and N > 10. The correct model selection procedures were explained in the text, but not in Figure 1.
