Update Phase One Project Cost The total project cost for Phase One of Grace Beyond is $2.5 million. Due to the congregation’s faithful giving, there is enough cash to pay for the entire first phase of this project. Thank you. Weekly Focus: Neighbors International Neighbors International is a volunteer ministry of Calvary Church that offers friendship and hospitality to international students studying at seven Grand Rapids colleges and universities. In order to not have to turn away students, we still need at least 10 new families or individuals who are willing to accept the invitation to join God at work in the lives of international students! What is a Friendship Family? A family or individual who is willing to offer friendship & hospitality to an international college student by doing such things as: • Opening their home for a meal. • Celebrating a student’s birthday or sharing holidays. • Helping students shop for winter clothes or navigate grocery stores. • Introducing them to their favorite places around Grand Rapids. • Guiding students as they get their driver’s license and shop for a car.
What is expected of a Friendship Family? • Fill out a volunteer application and background check. • Attend New Volunteer Training on September 27. • Attend our city-wide International College Student Dinner at the Grand Rapids Public Museum in October. • After being assigned a student(s), meet with them at least once a month and contact them once a week.

Mozambique Prayer Group The Mozambique Prayer Group is meeting today at 11:15am in Room 130-132 (please note room change). Missionary Prayer Guides are available at the Information Centers to guide you as you pray for our global and community workers through out September.
