ACAP is seeking an experienced individual for the role of course and marketing advisor. The successful candidate will have a successful background working on sales, marketing and promotional activities with a recruitment focus. This role requires strong interpersonal and networking skills in order to develop relationships with key stakeholders and influencers. The candidate we seek will ideally have: • • • • • • •

2+ years of relevant work experience ideally in the education sector An undergraduate qualification in marketing, business or related discipline High level of written, verbal and presentation communication skills Sales skills including building empathy, listening and questioning, communicating benefits and overcoming objections Experience with coordinating events/expos/trade shows An ability to work proactively and with a moderate level of autonomy Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities to deliver results on message, on brand, on time and on budget

Overview and Objectives of the Position:

This role is responsible for assisting with sales, marketing and promotional activities which aim to recruit students for ACAP. This position liaises with internal and external stakeholders and reports to the Associate Director, Marketing – ACAP and GSE, with a dotted reporting line into the Associate Director, Sales – ACAP. Key requirements of the role include course advising prospective students; managing events; developing relationships with key stakeholders including career advisors, career counsellors and Tertiary Admissions Centres (TACs); and providing marketing support to the Associate Director, Marketing – ACAP and GSE and Manager, National Marketing. This role will also be required to work on other activities as directed by their line manager.

Key Result Areas:

1. Domestic Marketing • • •

Generate prospective student leads interested in studying at the campus Support the Associate Directors and Manager, ACAP to develop and implement domestic marketing plans in order to achieve set targets. Build relationships with career and school counsellors, TACs, career advisor groups and articulation partners to promote courses and build the brand.

2. Sales •

Contact prospective students from various lead generating activities (website, advertising, events etc.);



Conduct phone based conversations and interviews with prospective students, parents and other influencers;



Ensure all communications are customer centric, service oriented and compliant at all times;



Build rapport with prospective students and assist in making their education decision. Establishing confidence in ACAP as a high quality education provider;



Provide detailed and accurate course, career and other jobs market information pertaining to ACAP and psychology/counselling industry;



Maintain a high level of familiarity with course entry requirements and suite of courses at higher education and vocational level



Ensure student abilities and needs are appropriately matched to course expectations and career outcomes;



Assist students through applications to convert enrolments;



Meeting expected sales and growth targets;



Resolving or escalating customer concerns and feedback within service level agreements;



Be an advocate of the ACAP sales and marketing function, establishing and maintaining productive relationships with other ACAP academic and service divisions across all campus locations.



Other project orientated duties as required.

3. Event management •

In consultation with other interstate staff develop a program of promotional events each year including school visits, career expos and information sessions aimed at increasing domestic market share.



Develop and manage the events budget.



Manage and attend all information evenings, Open Days, career expos and schools visits for the campus.



Recruit and manage Student Ambassadors to cover the region.

4. Administration and Collateral •

Assist in developing and updating audience-appropriate marketing collateral for use at marketing events.



Manage the development, inventory and budget of promotional materials including pens, bags, student and agent gifts.



Assist with the update of promotional materials, online and hard copy, as required.

5. Marketing Support Activities •

Assist with the update and maintenance of the website.



Assist to update and monitor social media platforms and ensure that all activities in relation to social media activities are executed in line with the Navitas Guide to Administering Facebook Groups and Pages and other relevant documents.



Maintain a high-level of awareness of local competitors.



Marketing reporting on information sessions and events and other reporting/analysis as required.



Perform other duties as specified from time to time by the Marketing Manager, ACAP
