Description/Suspect Information

Entry was set up Victim advises that he installed Surveillance Camera’s by the Janitor that in his office because several items have recently come cleans the suite. up missing from the office. Victim states that his cameras alerted him to motion in the office at about 12:20am this morning. The office was locked and no one should have been inside. He called 911. Surveillance video showed the janitor and a second suspect inside the suite. One of the suspects is observed carrying a computer keyboard. Victim was able to identify both suspects.

Method of Entry Rear sliding glass doors were compromised.

Description/Suspect Information Victim advises that he was gone from his residence between 2:00pm- 3:30pm. When he returned he discovered his home was ransacked. Victim advised he left the rear door wall unlocked and forgot to turn his alarm on. Several items of jewelry are missing.

16000 W Nine Mile Rd (Apartments)

Victim states she and her estranged girlfriend had a verbal dispute two days earlier over a pair of Gucci Boots victim owns and suspect borrowed. This dispute caused victim to terminate the dating relationship. When victim got home from work today she discovered her apartment had been ransacked and cash was missing. Victim suspects the estranged girlfriend. Incident is under investigation.

Hallway door was Officers responded to the Apartments on report of a kicked in. B&E that had just occurred. A witness (maintenance person) observed the suspects force entry into apartment and then exit the building and walk E/B on 9 mile. Southfield Police Dispatch provided a description of the individual that kicked in the door. Southfield Officer observed a subject matching the description behind a building. The subject appeared to be bending over, hiding next to a dumpster. When Officers approached suspect he fled on foot. The suspect refused to stop and was tased. The Taser took effect and the suspect was taken into custody w/o incident. The witnessed confirmed that this was the subject that kicked in the door to attacked apartment. Victim advised that he arrived at the home to cut the grass and discovered that someone broke out a window on the west side of the home and gained entry. Victim advised that he checked the interior of the home and discovered the suspect(s) had left a motorcycle and a bicycle in the dining room?

Victim advises someone took his Flat Screen TV and his Play Station from the recreation area in the basement. The residence is a Group Home and victim suspects a former residence that was removed from the Group Home.

Details Southfield Police Detective acting on information that was given to him regarding possible whereabouts of a reported stolen vehicle, located stolen vehicle leaving the parking lot in the 25000 Block of Greenfield Rd. The vehicle was stopped with assistance from other Southfield Officers. Investigation revealed that the driver had rented the vehicle, failed to return the vehicle on its due date and continued to possess vehicle and drive vehicle until being stopped by the police today. The vehicle was recovered and the driver was arrested for Receiving & Concealing Stolen Property. (Vehicle)

Victim states that he parked his truck in the parking lot, and then went inside the building to work on a cell tower network on the building. When he returned to his truck, it was gone. Livingston County Sheriff Department recovered the vehicle on 10/24/2014 @ 4:30pm. No further details at this time.

Details Victim stated she left the home at 9:30am. She returned at approximately 12:30am. Victim doesn’t live in the home, but is staying there for the night. Victim advises upon returning she discovered several items and cash was missing from a bag she had left. Victim also located her jacket which had an unknown cell phone in the pocket. Victim asked another female that was at the residence if the phone belonged to her and she stated it was hers. She denied taking victims items though? Both females were staying at the home with their respective boyfriends. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. Victim and several other employees were in the back for a lunch break between 11:30am and 12:30pm. Victim states an unknown B/M entered the office during that time and was looking for work. Victim’s wallet containing Cash & Credit Cards was taken from victim’s purse.

Handgun/ Firearm were taken.

Victim advises that he is in the process of a divorce and no longer living at the residence in Southfield. Victim’s wife advised him that his handgun was missing from the safe and their son and or his friends are suspected of taking the handgun. No suspect information at this time. Incident is under investigation.

Reporting Party (R/P) stated that he did a walk thru of the store and observed three cell phones missing. Suspects left the backing of the phone on the shelf but the cell phone was taken.

Victim advises items were stolen out of her vehicle on Wednesday October 22, 2014 sometime between 1:00am & 9:00am. It’s unknown how entry was gained. There is no damage or signs of forced entry. No suspect information.

Victim states that she loaded her purse and her sons backpack in her car at about 5:00am Victim returned to the vehicle and left the house at 7:00am. When she got to work she realized the two items were missing. Victim had canceled her credit cards and none had been used. Victim stated she did not have any cash in the purse. Victim’s neighbor recovered the purse and backpack next to her garage. Doesn’t appear that anything is missing.

Victim advises that sometime over night someone got into victims truck by unknown means and took his Dock and GPS System. Victim stated he had his ex-wife over to his house. After she left victim discovered cash missing from his pants pocket.

Victim stepped away from the front desk leaving her I pad behind. When she came back to the front desk area she found her I pad missing. Victim reviewed surveillance footage of the area and observed an older black male enter the suite and leave with her I pad. No further description at this time. Victim discovered that his ex-wife took his mail with the Credit Card and attempted to activate it. Victim stated he parked and locked his 2011 Chrysler Town and Country around10:00pm. Victim stated the following day around 1200pm he discovered his door handle broken and the radio had been removed.

Victim advises she was folding cloths at the Laundromat when suspect walked by and took her cell phone which was on top of a pile of clothes. Suspect: Last Name

24000 Northwestern (Hotel)

Wallet and Cell Phone were On the evening of 10/25/2014 a guest had her taken. room key taken from the pool area. Her room was entered using the key and the victim had several items stolen. The manager was able to review the hotel's surveillance video and observed suspect(s) enter guest’s room and confirmed they were not guests of the person who rented that room. He was able to further observe via camera; the same suspects went to another room. Officers investigating went to this room and knocked on the door. The Officers were given permission to enter the room and search the room for stolen items. There were several females in the room. One of the females made admissions that three of them did take victims room key at the pool and then entered victim’s room. Victims Cell Phone and Wallet were recovered. Two suspects were RPI’d and turned over to their parents. One suspect was arrested.

Tips:  Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight.  Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly  Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked

Armed Robbery: Date/Time 10/20/2014 5:05pm

Item Taken Cell Phone was taken.

Details Victim advises as he approached the intersection of Brookside and Lasher Roads he observed four subjects. One of the subjects came up to him and stated, "Give me your phone. If you don't give me the phone we'll just jump you and take it anyway." Victim gave Suspect #1 his cell phone and walked away. Suspect #1 then demanded the code to unlock the phone. Suspect #1 was making motions in his pants pocket as if he had a weapon so victim provided him with the code because he was afraid of getting hurt. Suspect #1 used the code to unlock the phone before fleeing into nearby Condo Complex. Victim stated the other suspects also ran into the same complex. Victim advised that he saw the suspects earlier in the day at Southfield High School. (SHS) It was later discovered by School Liaison Officers that two of the suspects attend SRAC and two attend SHS. The suspect that actually took the cell phone from victim was later identified and located at SRAC. The suspect was removed from his class and interviewed by Officers. He later made admissions that he had the stolen cell phone and turned the phone over to Officers. Further investigation by Officers led to the arrest

of three suspects and a fourth suspect was identified. Great work Liaison Officers!! Victim stated he was crossing Greenfield Rd, from the Oak Park side. Victim was in the construction zone on the sidewalk near Art Van, when two males approached him wearing ski masks. Victim stated one of them produced a handgun and demanded his money. Victim stated they took his shoes, jacket and went through his pockets and took his money. Victim stated the two suspects left in a Black 4Door Grand Prix in an unknown direction. Victim could not provide any other description than they were wearing black ski masks.

Victim heard a knock at her door. When she looked out her peep hole someone was covering it up. Victim thought it was maintenance and opened the door. Two armed suspects forced their way into victim’s apartment and robbed her of several items. Suspect Description: Suspect 1; B/M 45-50 yoa gray hair and facial hair. No mask, green jacket, jeans, slim caramel face. Armed with a small black revolver. Suspect 2; B/M, younger, mask, braids, caramel light skinned. Armed with a small black semi auto.

Special Attention: Reckless Discharge of a Firearm 10/25/2014 4:51am 25000 Block of W Twelve Mile Rd (Apartment Complex) R/P stated that she heard three loud noises coming from her bathroom window area. Officers checked outside the residence and to the area where the bathroom window was located. Officers observed shell casings on the ground and two spots that were torn up in the ground where the shots were fired into the grass. The shots were fired along a sidewalk path between two apartment buildings. It appeared that this was a reckless discharge of a firearm into the ground?

Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana 10/26/2014 10:17am 26000 Central Park Blvd. (Hotel) Officer observed vehicle parked in the Fire Lane at Hotel. Officers investigation revealed that the registered owner of vehicle had a Warrant for Reckless Discharge of a Firearm (Domestic) Officer made contact with the driver who reeked of marijuana. Southfield Police K-9 Unit was called to scene. K-9 alerted to several areas of the vehicle. Suspected Marijuana and a handgun were located in the trunk of suspect’s vehicle. Additional marijuana was also recovered from the interior of the vehicle. The suspect was arrested for Possession With Intent Deliver Marijuana (PWID) and Carrying Concealed Weapon (CCW).

OWI- 1- Arrest M-10/ Telegraph Rd. Officer was travelling on M-10 at Telegraph when a vehicle passed him well over the posted speed limit. The vehicle was stopped and it was apparent that the driver had been consuming alcoholic beverages. After completing an OWI investigation the driver was arrested for OWI.

OWI- 1- Arrest 11 Mile/ Corporate Dr. 10/23/2014 Officer stopped a vehicle for driving with bright lights activated. Investigation disclosed that the driver had been drinking and was in possession of marijuana. Driver was arrested for OWI, processed and lodged.

OWI- 2- Arrests S/B Northwestern/ Inkster Rd. 10/24/2014 Officer observed a vehicle stopped in the s/b to n/b turn lane in the area of Northwestern & Inkster. Officer stopped behind the vehicle to investigate. His investigation disclosed that two subjects in the vehicle had been switching drivers. Officer was able to establish sufficient probable cause to arrest both subjects for OWI. Both subjects were transported to the station, processed and lodged.

OWI- 1- Arrest 11 Mile Rd/ Greenfield Rd. 10/24/2014 Officer was dispatched to a slumped subject in a vehicle. Upon arrival it was determined that the driver was intoxicated and passed out. Driver was arrested for OWI, transported to the station, processed and lodged.

OWI- 1- Arrest Northwestern & Franklin Rd. 10/25/2014 Officer observed a vehicle go the wrong way through turnaround near Northwestern & Franklin Rd. Subsequent investigation revealed driver was OWI. Driver was arrested for OWI.

OWI- 1- Arrest Northwestern/ Case St. 10/25/2014 Officer stopped vehicle for traffic violation. Further investigation after the stop revealed driver to be OWI. Driver was arrested for OWI.

OWI- 1- Arrest 8 Mile/ Southfield Rd. 10/25/2014 Officer stopped vehicle for traffic violation. Further investigation after the stop revealed driver to be OWI. Driver was arrested for OWI.
