Commercial Burglaries: Date/Time 09/27/2014 2:25am

Method of Entry Several 20- Ton A/C Units were attacked.

Description/Suspect Information Officers were dispatched to a B&E alarm at business. The activation was coming from the Roof Hatch. Southfield Fire Department was summoned to assist with a ladder. Officers discovered that several A/C units had been attacked. The A/C units had been partially dismantled. The copper plumbing removed. Two cordless drills and a pair of bolt cutters were found inside two of the A/C units. It appears that the suspect(s) scaled a pole to access the roof.

Front door was kicked in.

Victim advises that her ex-boyfriend called her and wanted her Bridge Card. Victim refused to give it to him. A short time later ex-boyfriend called again and told her on the phone that he kicked in the door on her house and then hung up the phone after telling her "it was over." Victim discovered Home Invasion when she got home. It doesn’t appear that anything is missing. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation.

Front Door was forced open.

Incident occurred sometime between 2:15pm5:15pm. It doesn’t appear that anything was disturbed or taken.

27000 Franklin Rd (Apartments)

Hall door was forced open.

Officers initially responded to Domestic Assault Investigation. Officers met with Security Person who advises the suspect had stomped on the female half's head; and then fled on foot E/B from the apartment building. The suspect was reportedly a 6'-5", B/M wearing a red coat, jeans, and a ball cap on backwards. He reportedly had a gap in his front teeth, or teeth missing. Victim advises that the suspect is an ex-boyfriend and has never lived at the apartment with her.

Suspect reportedly broke into victim’s apartment when a male friend was visiting. Suspect was located at Telegraph Rd. and Civic Center by a Southfield Police Officer. Apartment door was pried open.

Victim advises that sometime between 2:57pm4:00pm, while victim was away from her apartment someone forced entry and took her Flat Screen TV from the living room.

Victim stated that she left the home around 1:15am and returned on the same date around 2:00am. After victim returned home she discovered her front door open and called Police. Officers arrived and discovered it was a good Home Invasion. Victim stated that a small TV was missing from the kitchen. Other larger TV’s were not taken?

Details Representative from Leasing Agency stated that the vehicle was dropped off on 09/19/2014 by a body shop after vehicle repairs were made, and the keys were turned in. On 09/22/14, after representative from Leasing Agency entered the vehicle in their system, he discovered that the vehicle was entered as a reported stolen. Representative then called the police on this date and time. Representative stated that he recovered personal belongings from the vehicle, but no identification. Victim advises that sometime between 10:30pm and the following day at 2:30pm someone stole his vehicle. The vehicle was parked in victim’s driveway on Greenwald.

Passenger Front And Rear Window Broken /Ignition Popped

Surveillance Video shows a White Chrysler Mini Van backing in next to attacked vehicle. It appears to be occupied by two individuals. Vehicle is observed parked next to attacked vehicle for approximately 4 minutes. Suspect Vehicle then leaves the lot. The attacked vehicle had its right rear door window shattered. The front door window had also been cracked. It appeared that a prying device had been placed between door molding and window. Ignition bezel had been pulled off. Suspect Vehicle: White Chrysler Mini Van. No further description of the two suspects.

Victim advises sometime between 11:00pm – 2:00am someone stole his vehicle which was parked in the parking lot at his Apartment Complex. On 09/26/2014 at approx. 6:39pm victim recovered his vehicle in his complex a short distance from his apartment. Victim thinks his ex-girlfriend took his vehicle. Victim had called his ex-girlfriend and told her he reported the vehicle stolen. The vehicle was then recovered with the keys in the ignition not far from victim’s apartment. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation.

Victim advises she parked her vehicle at approx. 4:00pm to go to work. Victim advises while at work she went outside to smoke a cigarette and took her car keys with her. A short time later victim realized she did not have her car keys so she walked back outside to see if she had left them where she was smoking earlier. She did not locate her keys. Victim went to her vehicle and checked her workplace and still didn’t locate her keys. Victim ended her shift at 9:00pm and when she walked outside she found her vehicle was now missing from the parking lot.

Victim advises unknown suspect(s) stole victim’s wallet which was on her desk at work. Victim suspect’s it may have been the Package Delivery Guy because she doesn’t recall seeing anyone else in her office during the times that she discovered it missing. Victim states that several of her Credit Cards were used at a Gas Station in Detroit.

IPhone -6 was taken.

Victim was selling his IPhone- 6 on Craigslist. A person responded to his add and said to meet in the 22000 Block of Greenview in Southfield. Victim drove to the house and waited in his car until the subject showed up. He arrived in an Older Gray Ford Taurus which was occupied by 3 young black males. Victim walked up to their vehicle. The subjects stayed in the Taurus. Victim gave the driver the phone. The driver took the phone and drove away. Victim was able to get the license plate # off the suspect vehicle but wasn’t sure if the plate is correct. No further information at this time.

Cell Phone was taken.

Victim stated that he was walking in Apartment Complex when two B/F suspects drove up to him in the main drive. They stopped and told him that they were lost, and asked if they could use his cellphone. Victim handed over his cell phone to the passenger, and they drove off W/B on 12 mile Rd. Victim stated that there were two infants in car seats, in the back of the suspect vehicle. He thought one was male and the other female. Cash was taken from cash drawer at front desk.

Victim advises vehicle was parked at Apartment Complex. Sometime between 8:00pm and the following morning at 7:00am someone took All Four Wheels & Tires from her brand new 2015 Chrysler 200. On 09/23/2014 at approximately 4:15am Southfield Officers were dispatched to Hotel for a Larceny Investigation. Reporting party (R/P) employee advises she was working the front desk. R/P advised that she would leave the front desk periodically and would leave a door propped open to the area. At 3:30am R/P discovered that cash was missing from her cash drawer. R/P advised that there should be surveillance video but she couldn’t access it at this time. Later the same day at 2:24pm Southfield Officers returned to Hotel to review surveillance video of incident. The suspect was observed climbing over the counter and taking the cash from the cash drawer. The suspect was identified and information was developed that the suspect was still staying in a room at Hotel. Officers went to this room and attempted to make contact. No contact was made but Officers then heard someone running down a stairwell. Officers observed suspect running on the first floor and ordered him to stop. The suspect

continued running. Officers pursued and continued verbal commands to stop. The suspect finally stopped and was taken into custody. The suspect was arrested for Larceny in Building and Resisting & Obstructing. Officers also discovered that suspect was on parole for similar crimes. Victim stated he left his class at College (Southfield Campus) to purchase food from the cafeteria. Victim returned to his class and placed his wallet in his backpack and put it on the floor behind him. Victim stated when class finished he noticed his wallet was missing. Victim stated he had his Driver License, Credit Cards, and other misc. items inside his wallet. No suspect information at this time. Victim stated that his Electrical Company is doing work for the building in the 27000 Block of Eleven Mile Rd. Victim came into work and observed several of his materials missing. Yesterday (9/25/2014) at approx. 5:00pm Security Guard for the sight observed 2 B/M subjects enter the construction site and then enter the building that was being worked on. Suspect #1 was described as a B/M, wearing blue coveralls and #2 was a B/M, 40's wearing a black t-shirt with dreadlocks. Subjects entered the building, began removing items from inside the building and then tossed them in a large dumpster sitting in front of the doors.

I pad was taken.

When the suspects observed security approaching them they left the scene and security never called police. Instead the Security Guard retrieved all of the items from the dumpster and put them back into the building. The next day the Security Guard informed two supervisors about the incident and gave a description of the subjects. The two supervisors knew exactly who the two suspects were. They were both hired as sub-contractors to do clean up on the site. The suspects were not located at this time. The suspects were identified and incident is under investigation. Victim advises sometime between 6:00pm7:00pm she went to business where she was shopping for an outfit. Victim entered the fitting room with her items along with her own Personal I pad. Victim then tried on an outfit and went into the main fitting area to look at herself in the mirror. Victim stated she returned to her fitting room to find the I pad missing. Victim checked through the fitting room area and found her I pad Case inside the handicapped fitting area but her I pad was missing form the case.

Victim lives in an apartment in the 27000 Block of Franklin Rd. Her neighbor was evicted from the complex. Victim allowed her neighbor to bring herself, child and some items to her apartment for 30 days until she could find a new place to live. Victim drove her neighbor to court for another matter on 9/26/ 14. At that time victim discovered her neighbor had an extensive Criminal History. Victim asked her neighbor to move out immediately. Neighbor refused and told victim that she would have to evict her. Victim did not want trouble and left the apartment after speaking with her attorney and stayed the weekend at a family member’s home. Victim returned to her apartment 09/28/2014 around 8:30pm. Victim discovered her neighbor in the apartment with several other occupants. Victim discovered several items missing and items damaged. Victim asked her neighbor about the items and she stated she has no idea what she was talking about.

Cell Phones and Cash were taken from victims.

Details Victim stated he was walking N/B on Lahser S/of Nine Mile when the suspect vehicle pulled alongside of him. The passenger asked victim if he could borrow his cell phone. Victim told the suspect his battery was dead. The suspect then produced a handgun, pointed it at victim and said "give me the phone." Victim gave subject his phone and the suspects fled. Victim states it appeared the suspects were now going to pull alongside some young teenagers, but then continued on. Victim stated that he and a group of friends had arrived at the Hotel for a party celebrating Homecoming. Victim and his friends were standing in the parking lot speaking to a group of females when a B/M called out to them. The B/M exited a Black Dodge Neon, lifted his tee-shirt, exposing a handgun tucked in his waist band and demanded they turn over their property. Victim stated that he and his friends each turned over their cellphones and various cash to the B/M who then got back into the car and was driven away by another unknown male. Victim stated that the B/M who took their property is possibly somebody that he knows from the past and thus he provided possible suspect information to Officers. Victim described the suspect as a B/M,

approximately 18-19 years of age, 6'-0 with a medium build. The suspect had poufy, unkempt afro, black, brown eyes and had a light complexion. The suspect was last seen wearing a yellow shortsleeve Michigan University tee-shirt with "Michigan" written in blue across the chest, khaki colored cargo style pants and wheat colored Timberland Boots. Victim states she arrived home and pulled her vehicle into her driveway. Victim got out of her car and started walking up to her house when two suspects came out of nowhere and demanded victim’s keys. Victim threw her keys across the front yard. Arrests by SPD Officers:

Special Attention: (Indecent Exposure) 09/27/2014 9:30am 27000 Block of Franklin Rd (Apartment Complex) Witness advises she walked into the Laundry Room and observed suspect urinating into a garbage can. Victim immediately left and notified Security. Security located suspect and he admitted to urinating in the garbage can. He stated he had a bladder problem? Police responded but couldn’t locate suspect. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation.

Operate While Intoxicated (OWI)1- Arrest Telegraph/ Civic Center Dr. Southfield Officer was monitoring the speeds of traffic on Telegraph Road when he observed a vehicle travelling at 70 mph which was over the posted speed limit. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was determined to be OWI after conducting an investigation. The driver was arrested for OWI II.

Special Attention: 29000 Block of Lancaster (Apartment Complex) Several incidents recently at this complex. Most recent incident occurred on: 09/23/2014 3:15pm 29000 Block of Lancaster Dr. Victim was walking in complex when he was approached by two females in a vehicle. The driver stated she was lost and asked victim if she could use her cell phone. The victim gave driver her phone and the driver drove away with her phone. The victim stated there were two babies in the back seat of suspect’s vehicle.

Felony Resisting/ Assault on Police Officer 1- Arrest 09/25/2014 20000 Block of Barlow Southfield Officers located and arrested a suspect (Wanted Felon) for the Felony Resisting/ Assault on a Southfield Police Officer which occurred on September 1, 2014. Operate While Intoxicated (OWI)1- Arrest 09/25/2014 Eleven Mile Rd. / Lahser Rd. Southfield Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction and it appeared that the driver may have been operating while intoxicated. The driver was investigated and subsequently arrested for OWI.

Operate While Intoxicated (OWI)- 1- Arrest 09/25/2014 Beck Rd./ Northwestern Southfield Officer stopped a vehicle for travelling above the posted speed limit. When speaking with the driver an odor of intoxicants emanated from the driver. An OWI investigation was conducted and the driver was arrested for OWI.

Operate While Intoxicated (OWI)- 1- Arrest 09/25/2014 Northwestern/ 12 Mile Rd. Southfield Officer observed a vehicle travelling on the shoulder of the roadway at a low rate of speed. He stopped the vehicle to see if they were having trouble with their vehicle. Upon speaking with the driver Officer detected a strong odor of intoxicants coming from the driver. After conducting an OWI investigation the driver was arrested for OWI.

Operate While Intoxicated (OWI)- 1- Arrest 09/25/2014 M-10/ Telegraph Rd. Southfield Officer observed a male urinating on his vehicle in the roadway. Officer stopped to investigate. It was determined that the driver was the operator of the vehicle and was subsequently arrested for OWI.

Operate While Impaired (OWI)- 1- Arrest 09/27/2014 Cambridge/ Greenfield Rd. Southfield Officer stopped a vehicle for traveling above the posted speed limit. Upon approaching and speaking with the driver it was apparent that the driver had been consuming alcohol. An OWI investigation was conducted and the driver was arrested for OWI.

Possession of Cocaine 1- Arrest 09/27/2014 00:44 27000 Block of Northwestern Hwy. (Hotel) Officers responded to Hotel to investigate subject sleeping in room that wasn’t rented out and a window is broken out on the room. Officers located and woke up the subject. The subject couldn’t explain why he was in the room and Officers located suspected Cocaine that subject made admissions to. The subject was arrested for Possession of Cocaine. The Hotel didn’t wish to pursue criminal charges for the broken window or B&E into the Hotel Room?

Domestic Assault/ Malicious Destruction Of Property (MDOP)/ Resisting & Obstructing (R&O) 1- Arrest 09/26/2014 12:31pm Telegraph Rd & Swanson Rd. (Gas Station) Southfield Officers were dispatched to a Domestic Disturbance at location. Officers arrived and observed the female half of Domestic physically assaulting the male half. Officers ordered female to stop several times but she refused. Officers had to intervene and when the female was told she was under arrest for Domestic Assault she resisted arrest. Officers took suspect into custody. Additional charges of MDOP & Resisting & Obstructing.
