The church has a 52 m (171 ft) tower and there is a stairway with 99 steps leading up to the building. YOUR TOUR HOSTESS Rosann Connolly-George Hi, I’m Rosann Connolly-George and I am really excited to be your Tour Hostess for Travel VUDA. I have been in tourism for 17 years beginning my career in Hotel Management moving into the Group Liaison Manager role in the Dunedin hotel sector for inbound travel to NZ. I was fortunate enough in this role to work closely with the All Blacks, Super 12 (S12) rugby visiting teams, England Cricket Team and the FIFA Soccer. Headhunted into the radio industry my tourism career was furthered as the Client Service Manager for (then) Radio Works Otago designing and escorting tours for their client networking incentive trips to a wide variety of destinations. I have escorted group travel for the most part of my tourism career and am now in co-directorship with my husband in our brokerage boutique travel agency Vincent George Travel based in Dunedin. My husband Vincent was the former director of Vincent George House of Travel for 24 years. I escorted our largest group totalling 77 people throughout Egypt and Dubai, a fascinating experience, though the boutique style of touring is definitely a more client (& itinerary) friendly option. My love of travel and people extends through 21 countries including the Pacific Islands, every visit and destination giving a life long journey of memories. From Vietnam to Mexico, Uluru to Egypt hosting group travel is my definite passion. The most recent escorted tour I have conducted is for Travel VUDA on the ladies only Croatian Dreams tour. What a fantastic itinerary combining history, local cuisine, ancient ruins and the most diverse and fabulous towns and rural communities you could ever see in an Eastern European adventure. We travelled by coach through gorgeous rural towns, walked the delightful cobblestoned alleys , had views from mountain ranges to pebbled beaches. For the first two weeks it was like stepping back in time with the medieval townships of Prague and Cesky Krumlov. We touched on the infamous birth place of Mozart, as we travelled through Salzburg en-route to explore the delightful market places, historical buildings and gorgeous lake backdrops of Slovenia. We then embarked on the wonders of Croatia, from caves to pebbled beaches , National Parks with breathtaking waterfalls to quaint fishing villages, wineries to Roman ruins, this part of the tour is unrivalled in its diversity and I cannot leave out the shopping!! Just when you think you have embarked on the most amazing experience we board a fabulous small deluxe ship to explore the unique islands off the mainland of Croatia, once so recently at war in the 1990’s, yet so welcoming and at peace with interesting locals ready to welcome you into their unique and beautiful way of life while we cruise the Adriatic Sea at leisure. Each day we embarked on a new and intriguing island that makes up the recently developed Croatia as we know it today. All the way we had the most interesting and fun local guides giving their knowledge and expertise in every city. I cannot wait to take you on this amazing journey which will hold your memories in a special place in your heart for life.
