Crossrail Farringdon Eastern Ticket Hall Bridge Link to Barbican Station – January 2015 to April 2017 Thank you for your patience whilst we build the new Crossrail Farringdon Eastern Ticket Hall. We are about to commence a series of works to enable us install the connecting step free access link bridge between the new Crossrail Farringdon Eastern Ticket Hall and Barbican station. The works will progress in phases from January 2015 until April 2017. We plan to update you on a regular basis as the work progresses. Phase 1 – Establishing the Worksite Compound Platforms 2 & 3 Surveys have been carried out to understand the depth of support under the existing platforms. The sections shown below in the photo will need to be dug out so that we can install a stronger support structure for the bridge. The disused signal hut will also be demolished and site hoarding erected. This phase of work will be carried out in three stages, commencing with the site set up stage. The temporary hoarding will then be installed reducing the width of platform 2 extending to platforms 3 and across the disused track. Followed by platform piling, this stage will commence only after the extent of piling required has been determined and confirmed.

Duration of work • Phase One commences January 2015, over three weekends and some week day work during core hours. • Phase Two commences as from April 2015 • Core Working Hours 0800 – 18.00 • London Underground Weekend Engineering Possession Hours (01 00 – 04 30)

What to expect • Some noisy periods from the breaking out of the platforms and demolition of the signal hut

What we will do
