Crossrail Farringdon Western Ticket Hall Demolition Works 23 February to 30 April 2015 Thank you for your continued patience whilst we build the new Crossrail Farringdon western ticket hall (the site adjacent to the Thameslink Station on Cowcross Street). We are about to commence demolition work to some existing structures within the site to make way for the new ticket hall. Phase 1: Crane Platform Demolition works planned for 23 - 26 February 2015

• The slab will initially be weakened by cutting it into small sections • The old reinforced concrete slab will then be demolished at street level Phase 2: Demolition of Cardinal House remnants planned for 26 February - 30 April 2015 • Final remnants of Cardinal House to be demolished • Structure will initially be weakened by cutting it into small sections • Reinforced concrete demolition and brick structure removal

Duration of work • Phase 1 commences February 2015 • Phase 2 commences February 2015 until 30 April 2015 • Week day working during core hours only; Monday to Friday (08:00 – 18:00)

What to expect • Some noisy periods as a result of the cutting and demolition of the concrete slab and the remnants of Cardinal House

• Acoustic screening will be used to reduce the noise impact from the works • Vehicle and pedestrian access will be unaffected • Noise and dust monitoring will be on going during the duration of the works • Work areas will be securely fenced off • Adhere to demolition methods which will minimise noise and disruption to our neighbours
