Curriculum Vitae SUMMARY I recently completed a Bachelor of Media and Communication, minored in Drama at the Queensland University of Technology in 2015. I aim to pursue a career in the Film and Television industry, either locally or interstate. I've been passionate about acting for as long as I can remember, and am excited about the prospect of working in such a dynamic industry worldwide. I pride myself on being a hardworking team member with a relentless drive to improve and be the best person I can be. Having had the opportunity to be in both lead and supporting acting roles for various productions throughout my acting career, I have learnt to interact and relate effectively with a wide range of people. My ability to fully immerse myself in a role or a specific goal helps me to succeed and make the best of any opportunities presented to me. My aspiration in life is to become a young successful actress, not only within my country, but eventually internationally. I want to show the Indigenous youth that it doesn’t matter where you come from, what matters is your mental and physical work ethic, passion and to always be yourself. I live by Jeffrey Fry’s quote:

‘Those who see the invisible will do the impossible.’

STORY AND FUTURE A number of significant experiences over the past couple of years have helped me to develop my personal goals and character. One of the most significant experiences of my life to date was having the opportunity to move away from Darwin and attend boarding school in Brisbane. It all started in 2008 when my family and I travelled to Brisbane for a holiday and sat at the traffic lights. When I looked out the window, I noticed a group of girls walking down the street wearing blazers, black polished shoes and brimmed hats. This was something I had never seen in Darwin before, these girls looked well educated and had a bright future ahead of them. With my grades dropping at school back home and skipping class a regular occurrence, I came to the realisation that I needed to make a change. I set a goal of going to boarding school. After significantly picking up my grades and not missing a single class for over a year, I was fortunate to receive a scholarship, which enabled me to move to Brisbane as a boarder. Whilst confronting at first, this experience gave me the confidence to work and excel in an unfamiliar environment removed from family and friends. I believe I made the most of this opportunity and was not only the first person in my family to graduate from high school but through hard work and perseverance, I was the also the first person to graduate from university. I have learnt to set goals and aim high which has given me the confidence that I can achieve anything I set my mind to. Whilst ambitious, my ultimate goal is to be the first Indigenous Australian to win an Academy Award. Curriculum Vitae
