The following features are necessary and are to be included with the bid: a) 1/4 inch stainless steel construction, preferable to have 3/8 inch stainless steel at bottom and far end b) Possibility of fabrication as a single unit on site from sub-assemblies if installation point prohibits fully fabricated tank movement c) Rated for use with the rifle and pistol ammunition most commonly encountered in firearms related investigations (up to ~ 3500 fps) d) Industrial grade water pump and filtration system including all necessary internal and external plumbing components (drain, skimmer, distribution, etc.) e) Illuminated water tank including a light and fixture at the operator's end of the tank. The light shall be capable of withstanding the shock of a firearm discharged into the tank and the bulb access will be from the outside of the tank f) Recovery wand for bullet retrieval g) Remote firing stand and trigger pull h) Cartridge casing catching device / mechanism i) Filtered exhaust / exhaust fan / system for in-room exhaust hook up including all necessary duct work / connections enabling room duct connections to the unit j) The width of the finished unit shall be no more than 36 inches k) Preventive measures (interlock, etc.) to ensure tank cannot be used if lid is open or foreign objects are present in or obstructing use of the unit l) The access door located on the top of the tank is to be hinged to the tank and gasketed for a secure closure Unit Cost
