The business offers its services from a web based platform and a family of APIs at www.liv-ex.com. Liv-ex is currently embarking on a new programme to introduce greater relevance to the information displayed to members and is growing its technical capability accordingly. Role We’re looking for an enthusiastic candidate who wants to pursue a career in data. The role gives you the opportunity to develop skills in a number of areas including data insights, operations, product development or more widely across the business. There will also be the opportunity to build on your knowledge about wine and how the wine market works. You will be an important member of a small data team, working alongside colleagues on the trading desk and product development team in the UK and a data processing team in India. The role combines regular activities and ad-hoc projects around the responsibilities below. Key Responsibilities • • • • •
Exploration, analysis and presentation of customer and trade data Development and maintenance of internal dashboards and KPI’s Supporting the marketing team with data extraction and analysis Responding to internal and external ad-hoc requests for analysis Identification and correction of erroneous data points
Skills & Experience Essential: • • • • • •
Curiosity about how data can help you understand a market Experience in extracting data from systems (databases) to conduct analysis Highly numerate with a logical thought process and able to interpret requests Educated to BSc level from a UK or European university Fluent in English, both technical and conversational A keen interest in wine
