What happens at Orientation?
Receive course information Unit selection and timetable (if not yet completed) Introduction to the Student Portal and computer labs Find out about a range of services and facilities Obtain your Student ID card.
What should I bring? 1. ID – Passport or driver’s license 2. Offer Letter – Includes your Student ID Number 3. Contact Details – Australian address (including postal code) and telephone number International students must also bring: 4. Passport and visa details – (visa issue and expiry dates required). You WILL NOT be able to enrol without these details.
What happens if I do not attend Orientation? All new international students must attend Orientation. If you are not able to attend, please contact Deakin College by calling +61 3 9244 5600 or sending an email to
[email protected]. Immigration WILL NOT ALLOW international students to arrive more than two weeks after classes have commenced.

Public bus services There are plenty of bus services that run from the Geelong CBD, Geelong railway station and the Waurn Ponds railway station to the Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus. Plan your journey on the Public Transport Victoria (PTV) website
TrainHide Geelong’s Waurn Ponds train station is the closest station to the campus. V/Line trains operate throughout the day on the Geelong–Melbourne line and take just over an hour and 15 minutes.
Driving The Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus is just over an hour from Melbourne by car, depending on traffic. From Melbourne, take the Princes Freeway (M1) west Follow the M1 to Highton Take the exit towards Waurn Ponds Turn right onto the A10 Take the first right into Pigdons Road Take the first left at Deakin University Geelong Waurn Ponds Use turn-by-turn navigation to Geelong Waurn Ponds from your current location
