PRINCIPAL M ESS AGE Dear Parents, We have 13 instructional days before our winter break and we need your support making sure you son/daughter comes to school every single day. Next week we have EOC re-testing exams for some 9th & 10th graders, followed by Interim Assessments the week of December 12-16, 2016. It is extremely important that your son/daughter is in school every day to ensure they are ready for these exams and to complete assignments for progress reports. If your child has a doctor’s appointment, please try to schedule afterschool. Thank you for your continued support and for being part of our team and family. Go Bobcats! Respectfully, Mr. Marco C. Lopez Principal

Attendance Goal 98% Our attendance for this current week was 97% for College Prep.

We have had an increase in student absences these past few weeks. Texas Law requires that all students attend school on a daily basis. In addition, Texas Law requires that students attend school at least 90% of the time to earn credit. Please be sure your child is at school every instructional day. Schedule doctor’s appointments afterschool. You can drop off your excuse with Ms. L. Garcia. Learning Center Students are encouraged to attend if they need assistance completing homework or projects. We will have tutors available to provide academic support. All students who attend the Learning Center must sign in at 4:00 and stay until 5:15 p.m. All students must be picked up by 5:15 p.m. If you would like additional information regarding the Learning Center please contact Mr. William Corbit College Counselor.

As the winter season begins and weather begins to change we want to remind all our parents that nonidea jackets or hoodie type sweatshirts are not allowed. Please monitor your son/daughter’s attire and ensure they do not bring nonidea jackets to campus. If the weather is chilly students may wear a black/white long sleeve shirt underneath their polo shirt. Electronic Payments Our campus is now able to take payments made with credit or debit cards. If you would like to purchase uniforms. Assistant Principal of Operations Early Drop Off Students may not be dropped off before 7:10 AM. Drop off time begins at 7:15am. If students arrive late, they need to be walked into the building/reception area and parents must sign the tardy log. Cellphone Usage
