We are reminded again that we do not need to be downcast but we live in Hope because our Lord has a plan for our lives and it is good. Our Hope is in the Lord! Hallelujah! Women’s Ministries Christmas Luncheon will be held December 9th at 11:30 AM. The Sun City Handbell Ringers will be the featured entertainment. Tickets are on sale today in the foyer. December is Compassionate Ministries Month in the Church of the Nazarene. One part of that is Child Sponsorship where for $30 a month you may sponsor a child to attend school, who may not otherwise be able to attend. On December 11th you will receive information in your Worship Folder on how to sign up. If you have any questions, please see Flo Knight. The Christmas Card Project for Missions is open. If you have any questions, please see Judith Uselman. All monies collected will go to Compassionate Ministries. Don’t forget to pick up your shoebox for the Christmas Shoe Box Project for Rocky Point. The Gathering Place will have an EXTRA SPECIAL CHRISTMAS CONCERT on December 15th at 10:00 AM. Our own Sun City Nazarene Musicians will present the program. Come enjoy good music, fellowship and desserts. Both Men’s Bible Study and Women’s Ministries Bible Study will begin January 17th. Sign up sheets are available in the foyer. We invite you to participate in the Christmas Card Project for Veterans. You may bring your own cards or pick up a stack of cards in the foyer. The late Rev. Sarah Shippy donated cards to be signed by, “Your friends at the Sun City Church of the Nazarene.” These cards will be delivered to the Veterans Hospital in Phoenix to be placed on the food trays of the Veterans for Christmas cheer and encouragement.
