Demolition works at Broadgate ticket hall site Works update

Duration of work

Work on the new Broadgate ticket hall for the Crossrail Liverpool Street station is progressing well.

Vent shaft demolition

As part of these works we will be demolishing part of the internal structure of an old London Underground ventilation shaft which is enclosed within the worksite adjacent to the UBS building.

These works will commence next week and we estimate that they will last about a fortnight. We will be doing all we can to minimise the noise during the demolition works however, there may be periods of high noise levels when we are breaking out concrete.

• Works are due to start on 27 June 2016 • They are scheduled for two weeks • Core working hours • 08:00-18:00 Monday – Friday and 08:00-13:00 on Saturdays. • Occasional LU engineering hours works. 01:30 – 04:30

What to expect • Occasional higher than usual noise levels.

What we will do Working hours

We will be adhering mainly to core working hours during the demolition works. There will be a number of occasions when we will be working during London Underground engineering hours 01:30-04:30. We will continue to monitor the situation closely both on site and in the surrounding area. We will of course notify you if there are any changes to the work schedule.

Thank you for your understanding as we continue work on this major new station at Liverpool Street.
