Denver Seminary User Guide PLEASE NOTE: SOME EBSCO EBOOKS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE FOR READING THE FULL TEXT ONLINE. There are several ways to enjoy EBSCO eBooks. Follow the instructions below that apply to you!

A. Reading eBooks Instantly on your Computer 1. EBSCO eBooks can be found on the Carey S. Thomas Library’s LS2 PAC (online catalog). They will be listed as “electronic resource: EBSCO.” Once you have located an EBSCO eBook that you would like to download, click on “More Options,” circled below.

2. Click on that link to access the eBook collection on EBSCOhost. To immediately begin reading the book, simply click “PDF Full Text” or “EPUB Full Text” on the left side of the page. Please note: off-campus, you will be prompted to enter your student ID number and your Denver Seminary password to access EBSCO products. 3. To download the eBook directly to your computer for 7 days, select “Download This eBook (Offline).”

4. To download and read off-line, you need Adobe Digital Editions free software, and a free Adobe ID; you will authorize your account on your computer the first time. You will also need to log into your personal EBSCOhost account to download and read offline. If you do not have a free EBSCOhost account, you will create one before proceeding.

Remember: some EBSCO eBooks only allow reading online and NOT downloading. Select Full Site, NOT Mobile Site, for reading online. Offcampus you will log in with your student ID number and your Denver Seminary password. 3. To download those eBooks available for reading off-line, you will need free software available in your app store: Bluefire Reader or Adobe Digital Editions. You will need to create a free Adobe ID and authorize your account on your device the first time. 4. In addition to logging in with your Denver Seminary credentials, you will log into your personal EBSCOhost account to download and read offline. If you do not have a free EBSCOhost account, you will create one before proceeding. 5. Once the eBook downloads, choose Bluefire or Adobe Digital Editions to open the file and read. Downloaded eBooks expire after 7 days. They will still be on your device but cannot be opened; you can remove them manually in Bluefire or Adobe Digital Editions.
